I've stayed at Des Bains Montparnasse over the last ten years; most recently in September 2015. Yes, rooms are small but it's cozy and comfortable and very clean. SUPER CONVENIENT: It's convenient coming from CDG because RER B goes directly to denfert rochereau where one can change to Metro 6 for a few stops to Edgar-Quinet. Staff has always been... More

I've been here with my boyfriend in september 2012 (cant set the right date). We were looking for a cheap and nice hotel Not far from the center and that was! Tiny tiny Rooms but quite clean. Very small bathroom. Nice balcony. The concierge guys were very kind and helpful. Great position: in montparnass you'll find thousand of nice creperies... More

This hotel was recommended as a good hotel for families on a budget in one of our guidebooks. We were having trouble finding a hotel that would accommodate our family of 4. Most hotels required that we get 2 rooms. Our family of four stayed in one of the family suites. It was quite large and there was plenty of... More

After finding this hotel listed in two major brand guidebooks as an economical choice for families, my family of four stayed in a 2-room suite in this hotel a week and a half ago for 177.5 euros per night, which I consider to be an excellent value and it fit the needs of my family perfectly. The rooms were air-conditioned,... More

I wanted to stay in the Montparnasse neighborhood and I am so glad we chose Hotel des Bains. The staff was so nice and helpful. Four of us went together and we just wanted to snack on wine and cheese our first evening and they opened their parlour to us. Room was quaint, comfortable and clean. Metro is close so... More

A wonderful 'little' hotel with outstanding placement, within 5 minute walking distance of Gare Montparnasse and three different metro lines giving unparalleled access to Paris and the surrounding. Price is a bargain for the 14th district of Paris. All about location. The Tour Montparnasse just around the corner gives you the best view of Paris (as well as the Effiel... More

Situated in montparnasse, close to restaurants and transport links. Best feature is it's location.close to a variety of restaurants. Clean room but thin walls could hear next door talking and showering. Expensive for what the hotel offers no usual extras in room but paying for location. Several hotels on same road. Staff weren't very polite perhaps due to us being... More

I have stayed here each year for 5 years. It is small and quirky but not in a bad way. The price is good and surrounded by a very vibrant French area with lots of lovely little restaurants and bistro's. I have eaten at a different place every time and not had to travel very far from the hotel. Transport... More

We've stayed in the Hotel des Bains a number of times over the years and it continues to be an great choice in terms of value for money. The family suite was very nice with a double bed in one room and two twin beds in another room, it was perfect for 4 people. Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
