Selecting a hotel on trip is always a challenge. On a recommendation from a traveled acquaintance we decided to try the Hotel Delambre. We could not have been more pleased. The location is near the Montparnasse station and so at the recommendation of Jean-Paul of the Hotel Delambre we took the Air France bus from the airport terminal to the... More

Very nice boutique hotel and just what I was looking for. Rooms are clean and charming, and somewhat small with air-conditioning, which was pure bliss for this very hot summer. Wifi works great and staff is courteous, helpful and speaks English well. The area is perfect. The street is quiet, but with a number of bars, restaurants, boulangies and places... More

A comfortable and affordable hotel well located in downtown Paris, Montparnasse area. The rooms are spacious enough and the street is quite at night. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I stay at this hotel every year for more than 7 years,. I am French and I lived in Paris for 25 years until I moved in to Thailand.... More

In the heart of the 14th, near three Metro stations, around the corner from the Wed and Sat outdoor markets and the fantastic Monoprix. Walk to La Coupole or Blvd Montparnasse. Comfy bed, good view, very considerate staff. Scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast. Took it on a tray with OJ, cheese, croissants and preserves and added some brandy to... More

This hotel is 2-3 km from the center of Paris. The room was small but functional, the bathroom was nice compared to many Parisian hotel bathrooms. The shower was great and everything worked including A/C. There was a small TV and a tiny balcony that was appreciated. We stayed only 2 nights, but the size was adequate for our needs.... More

The room was small, but this is Paris. We spent here four nights during a heat wave, and all we needed was a functioning air conditioner -- and this place had it! Worked really well, good adjustment possibilities, reasonably quiet. The wifi was also good, no problems. Friendly staff. And you cannot beat the location! Close to a metro station,... More

After an Air BnB disaster, we were so lucky to have the name of this hotel, recommended by a friend, in our back pocket. The staff is very warm and helpful. The rooms are clean, well-appointed and well-air conditioned (this was key -- we were in Paris during a heat wave!) The price is very reasonable and the location in... More

Arrived on May 26th at around 10 a.m. and greeted as old friends. Staff stored luggage while we went walking and exploring. Arrived later to find a larger than average room for a boutique hotel. Elevator was average size for Paris (Room for 2 passengers with 1 piece of luggage each.). Wifi was free and strong. Room was very quiet.... More

The welcome was warm and our room was very clean and comfortable. The Montparnasse area is lively and has lots of good restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a base. From Charles de Gaulle airport, take RER, line B, to Denfert Rochereau ( about 45 mins) then two stops on the metro to Edgar Quinet (line 6). Hotel... More

For the second year running we stayed at the Hotel and enjoyed every minute. It is "francais vrai", unique, and not just another hotel. Excellent English spoken by friendly and helpful staff. Close to the Metro and the magnificent Creperies of the Montparnasse district. If you want to experience staying in Paris rather than a copy-cat international hotel this is... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
