My boyfriend and I spent 6 nights here in October. It was adorable, affordable and is so conveniently located! It was tucked away on a quiet street in the 5e within walking distance to the Les Gobelins Metro station and rue Mouffetard market (one of the oldest in Paris and a must-see!) The lobby is clean and cute. Our check-in... More

This was our fifth different hotel stay in Paris, and one of the best. It is on a quiet side street in the 5th. A great location within easy walking distance to the metro. Also, one of our favorite brasseries is just around the corner (Le Cave de Bourgogne). We were traveling by bicycle, and atlthough they were reluctant to... More

Small hotel with few amenities, but the rooms were quiet and clean, and a lovely breakfast is served for a nominal fee in the morning. Great location, close to restaurants, shops, the Pantheon, Metro stop, even a Starbucks. The restaurant across the street, La Forge, was outstanding. We would stay here again.

This small hotel is as typical Parisian as they come. You know, paper thin walls and tiny rooms with no views. In case of de l'Esperance, the location compensate for any minor glitches. The Rue Mouffetard with it's restaurants and the boulevards towards the Place d'Italie with typical cafes makes the environment one of the most enjoyable in Paris. The... More

Our room was on the 2nd floor...the elevator stops at 1/2 and 2/3 so you have to walk up or down to get to the room which isn't a problem unless you have heavy luggage. Our room had 2 twin beds, windows opened into a courtyard and was very clean. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a little chocolate bar... More

The service of the hotel was good. The receptionist?manager? is friendly and helpful. I really wish the rooms could be a bit bigger, yet I do understand in Paris, with this budget, one can't expect too much. I would return someday although, if they could change their sheets and towels form the dark color to lighter color. Its hard to... More

My friend and I shared a room during our stay in a cold January 'vacation'. The neighborhood is very quaint and they are a lot of things to do within walking distance. The staff is friendly but I wouldn't dream of leaving any valuables, ie passport or money in my room. They don't have do not disturb signs. Also booked... More

My husband and I booked this hotel on a friends recommendation and we were extremely dissappointed, so much so we cancelled our stay once we arrived and booked somewhere else! I think we were given the worse room in the whole hotel, it was really small and dingy, a very depressing room, however it was clean. The decor was absolutely... More
