I am very disappointed with this place. The price I paid for 1 night was not worth it. It is 2 stations from Gare du Nord, and I suppose that is why you pay. The zone does not feel safe at night, too many people around you trying to sell stuff. The hotel is old, Internet does not work (even... More

My sister and I booked a single and a double room. We've asked for rooms on the lower floors because my sister has trouble walking stairs (there is no elevator). We've got a double and a 3-person room on the first floor, so more then we've paid for! Rooms were basic, but comfortable and clean. Not soundproof though, heard every... More

Hotel was relatively close to the subway station. Ten minutes walking. Only problem was that my family felt a tad unsafe with all the black market vendors outside of the station. Not the hotels fault. The staff was quite friendly, no internet in the rooms but yes in the lobby. Close walk to sacre cuore. Great location, rooms were clean... More

I would rank this as one of my very favourite hotels anywhere. It is fairly basic but has everything I want from a hotel. Comfy bed. Quiet. Good temperature. Clean. Nice view from my fifth floor room. En suite. Good breakfast. Friendly lady running the place. Superb location. A simple place but excellent value for money. Note sure that I... More

Regarding the room itself, it was fairly basic but was surprisingly comfortable. We had a double bed room with a private bathroom and a TV, but the bathroom was very small with no window and only a couple of grills to the outside to act as ventilation. There was nowhere to hang towels or even toilet roll. Despite the room... More

The room was small, everything was old and there was only the strict minimum: a bed, a chair, a small desk, a tv. In the bathroom you can see the old dusty pipes, and once again, strict minimum. However the staff was friendly. There is no elevator and going to the 5th floor can be a challenge.

My stay at the hotel was very unpleasant. Firstly I booked for hotel Ramey and I was given the room at hotel montemart which was adjacent to hotel Ramey under which name our room was booked. You may be conned by other name of hotel. Seems little bit doggy. Then we were given the room on the 6th floor under the... More

Clean, cute hotel with very friendly staff. Great place if you're just passing through (as we were). Walking distance to Sacre Couer and only a few blocks from the Metro. Fairly priced for the accommodations. I would disregard the negative comments below about the surrounding area, they are either uneducated, biased, or misinformed. Some of them are quite frankly racist,... More

Been there 3 night. 5 minutes walk from Chateau Rouge. Good and clean hotel with very confortable bed, in a quiet location, "far" (15 minutes walk) from the restaurants and the nightlife of Montmartre. No elevator, though (I was at the 5th floor). And I didn't try the breakfast. Overall a good staying.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
