A small, nice charming hotel. Very simple and very friendly, close to Sacre-Coeur. Do not go here if you love 4 stars plus. But go here, if you want to feel at home. A simple breakfast is served in the room, since there is no breakfast room. The owner Mme Sophie carries it upstairs with elegance. There is also an... More

More of a B&B than a hotel. Stayed here for several nights in late September and early October.Sophie was wonderful to communicate with prior to our arrival. We were interested in one of the rooms with access to the patio/terrace and were delighted with the room. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning on the patio and every night we enjoyed... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in early October. Small place....reasonably priced...great Montmartre area. The room was very clean and had a nice view over the northern part of Paris. Very French. Fresh Croissant and baguette from a nearby bakery for breakfast. Sophie was very helpful in finding close by restaurants that were good to eat at. The best was the... More

We stayed for a week in the studio apartment in the building next to the main hotel. It is fairly spacious and has a view out over a garden area. There is a large main room with two double beds, a well-equipped kitchen area, bathroom (with shower) and a small toilet. Everything was clean and well maintained. The location is... More

L'Ermitage is a delightful place, full of character (and characters!). Maggie met us at the door, explained some of the house rules, and shows us to our room. It was all flowers! The wallpaper, curtains and bedding all had the same flowery print- very French, very old school. The beds were super comfortable, and the bathtub was the funniest little... More

Stayed here for two nights. Heaps of character. Very friendly, family service. Breakfast is the usual croissant and coffee, enough to get you out and about. The option of breakfast on the terrace was nice in the morning sun. A 2min walk to the Sacre-Coeur, with some okay restuarants around. Highly recomend to anyone.

Stayed for 3 nights. Early check in no problem following excellent communication before we arrived. The room is a short walk from Lamarck metro and 2 minutes from the back of the Sacre Coeur. There are plenty of nice bistros and restaurants within walking distance. The room had a great view over Paris and was larger than other similarly priced... More

We have been coming to this hotel for the past 20 years. Well situated next to the Sacre Coeur and close to a variety of nice to interesting restaurants, we stay here whenever we are in Paris. The rooms are nicely decorated with a lot of character. The owners are very friendly. All at a very reasonable price. I warmly... More

We stayed in the appartment next to the hotel and were very pleased with our choice. The appartment has two bedrooms, one, at the back, with ensuite shower. There is a separate bathroom. The whole place is decorated in fabric, hung on the walls, ceilings and even doors. Very Classic old French style. There is a very basic kitchen area off the... More

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days, the location is nice and the family who own the hotel very friendly, they gave us good tips on where to eat. The rooms are old fashioned with nice old furniture, the room was very clean, the bath was absolutely tiny but I understand that is normal is paris. The breakfast was... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
