Had a lovely three night stay. The room was cool in a kitsch way (floral, fabric-covered walls). The bathroom was small, but functional and very clean and proportionate to the size and style of the building - it's a compact place, not a purpose-built business hotel. Don't expect a bathroom with a plasma screen. The bed wasn't amazing, but fine.... more

Well, shortly... 1. Nice, because the hotel has its specific atmosphere, excentric owners 2. Nice because extremely clean, 3. Nice because quiet and safe... BUT 1. But with significant disadvantages (extremely small bathroom with no latch so you can't close (not lock, but close) the bathroom door - we had to invent our own way ;) 2. extremely strange bathtub... more

Loved it.

Stayed here in Feb over a weekend (sorry for the delay in posting). Owners put us in the studio (bathroom, kitchenette and bedroom). Although it was small, we loved it. First night didn't bother going out to eat, instead went down to the local supermarket and bought wine, cheese, etc. Utensils (including bottle opener) already in the kitchenette. Second night... more

I rented one of their two bedroom apartments with a friend. When I first walked into the apartment, it was cold, smelt very musty and a bit moldy. It basically needed to be aired out as it must have been closed up for awhile. Best to ask them to air out the room before you arrive. The apartment was clean,... more

We only stayed 1 night in this hotel but it was lovely. The couple who own it are very friendly. The room we had was very well priced (96 euros) - it had a distinct "french" feel which we absolutely loved. The room was comfortable; clean and very well maintained, as was the bathroom (although the bathroom was tiny; but... more

First of all, I was a little reluctant to stay here. You had to call the hotel directly and I do not speak French. I wrote out a little to say, but was surprised when I was answered in English. I had to fax over a letter stating my information and then Fed Ex a check to hold our room... more

If you are seeking a charming abode in a romantic part of Paris, you can't do better. The proprietress, Sophie Canipel, is delightful and so accommodating. We lucked into the little efficiency next door and pretended for a week that it was home. She gave us a bottle of wine for the occasion and filled us with options of new... more

My husband and I stayed at the Ermitage Hotel in the hilly Montmartre district of Paris for one night in late September at the end of an anniversary celebration. We wished we could have stayed longer. It's classically French with a very individual and charming style. The entrance hallway has attractive artwork with doorway frames that are painted gold. The... more

My mother and I stayed at Ermitage for 4 nights in July. It was Mum's first big trip overseas, and this hotel was the perfect place to bring her. The fact that it is not a sterile, minimalist hotel means a lot - it has character and charm. Breakfast on our patio was lovely, overlooking the gardens and neighbouring houses.... more

A little late posting this review, I know (2 years) but I felt I really should sing the praises of this lovely little hotel. Like one of the other reviewers, I brushed off my schoolgirl French and telephoned the owners, only to find that Madame spoke good English! She was absolutely charming and when I said that we would be... more
