Very clean hotel, modern bathrooms in older building convenient to multiple train lines and good mid-priced restaurants. There is a small front desk and the English skills varied based on the shift, but they were very helpful and had good recommendations for dinner and help navigating the area. Also, a good French breakfast available in the morning.

My husband and I were greeted by a lovely gentleman at the front desk who said he would give us a wonderful room. He certainly did. We had a seating area with water kettle and fridge, bedroom with desk and a beautiful large fully tiled bath with a huge walk in shower. The hotel was totally quiet at night. It's... More

I arrived late at the hotel and I was very welcome. It is typical small hotel but my room was great: perfectly decorated and with good taste. It is located in small and narrow street but still very close to the Gare de Lyon station. I left very early so I did not have the opportunity to have my breakfast.... More

Cons: The room is very small. The bed is almost touching the door when it opens. Luckily it has a separate bathroom/restroom. I stayed at room 102 and can always hear people walking up the stairs even when I shut the window tight. The wifi is weak and not always working. The elevator is so small that it can only... More

a small, nice hotel, with everything you need for a few day stay. In the neighbourhood, you can find a lot of restaurants and cafes at good prices. The bed was comfortable, the floor was very clean. The hotel is charming.

Good location and nice looking room, but the bed was small, with synthetic pillows and a plastic sheet on top of the mattress which was uncomfortable, hot and noisy, so we couldn't sleep very well. Disappointing, especially as we had a nice experience the last time we'd stayed there.

I stayed in late September-early October in a single room on 3rd floor facing the street. Room was very clean, decorated with care and with a minibar/fridge, a courtesy tray (replenished daily), free wi-fi, a safe. Just a bit of street noise that did not bother me at all but if you want very quiet then courtyard facing rooms are... More

We stayed in Albe Bastille (AB) for 3 nights in mid Sept'15 in the quadruple room (2 adults and 2 kids). The room was reasonable sized, separate bath and WC and had a microwave. We opted only for the room and had quick breakfast at the patisserie nearby. Its a small cosy boutique hotel which is very easy to miss... More

This was for us Parisophiles a new hotel in a new area (12e arrondissement) the Bastille. Very impressed by the hotel, charming, helpful and friendly staff, a lovely room (large by Paris standards) and reasonably priced for a world capital city. A very nice safe area with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops - no problem walking around at night... More

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in a junior suite with our sons aged 6 and 9. The suite was massive for Paris, it featured a double bedroom and a living room with a fold out bed, a sizeable bathroom and all the facilities you need. The joy for me was that the fold out bed was two single... More
