We booked into here for a short trip and were not disappointed. The hotel service sets it apart but you also feel as though you are stepping into a bygone era. We did have a complaint about the lack of ventilation in our bathroom but the hotel were quick to move us to another room and upgraded us. The concierge... More

A beautiful place! Very stylish and comfortable. Clean and quiet. First time air-conditioning couldn't be heard! Lovely view of Arc de Triomphe. Very central. Metro just outside. Courteous staff all the time. Very spacious room and large wardrobe. Lovely toiletries.

We stayed at the Raphael with some friends who have regular timeshare there. We were blown away by the elegance , cleanliness and wonderful location. Th helpful staff recommended nearby restaurants - and the hotel is in a wonderful and interesting neighborhood, near the Arc de triumph and the Elysée, the home of the French president.

Dear valued guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this great review about hotel Raphael. We were thrilled to read that you were “blown away” by our hotel. Since it opened in 1925, the Raphael has kept its old Parisian charm, with its antique furniture and original paintings and ally it with today’s modern facilities. It... More

My wife and I decided to get a break from the kids and vacation in Paris. I decided to "kick it up a notch" by staying at Luxury Hotels of the World property, so had some high expectations. Start by saying - beautiful, classic hotel. Definitely a lot of character and quaint, but up close, it is slightly more tired... More

My husband surprised me with a stay at this fine establishment for our honeymoon in April 2012. It was everything we hoped a 5 star Parisian hotel to be. As soon as we walked into the hotel, it was how we had imagined old world Paris to be. The decor and ambience will transport you back in time. Our room... More

Dear valued guests, Thank you so much for your great review after your memorable honeymoon at the Hotel Raphael in 2012. Since 1925, the hotel has been owned by the same Parisian family; the Baverez family. It is indeed a willingness on our part to preserve the old Parisian charm of the hotel, with its vintage furniture and original painting.... More

Raphael is an old fashioned hotel very near the Arc de Triumph. Unfortunately we got a room with a shower that only produced hot water. When we asked for another room were we shown a much smaller room. After another complain we finaly got a nice room with an shower that worked. This is not what you want to take... More

We stayed only one night, and it was fantastic. Service was top notch from the moment we arrived. Because we were short on time, we didn't experience everything in the hotel, but what we did we loved. The lobby was beautiful. Our room wasn't big (621), but was CHARMING, had lots of privacy, and even though it was on a... More

I had always wanted to experience this iconic Parisian jem and stayed alone for a quick overnight business trip. The room (112) was so tired and tiny, so I was glad that my husband decided not to come along. Noise from garbage trucks at 5 am was horrible and room service breakfast unmemmorble - espcially the not so fresh carrot... More

This is a medium-sized hotel on a beautiful boulevard - the boulevard Raphael - leading down from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Lovely entrance, very good concierge, overwhelmingly opulent public rooms. The bar is famous .... Gainsbourg held court there - I saw him once, surrounded by girls, smoking his Gauloises incessantly, and understood his charisma. Many stars, of... More

Dear valued guest, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your many experiences with us and for being such an ambassador of our hotel. Built in 1925, the hotel was designed especially for a VIP clientele who was looking for luxury, elegance and discretion as their home away from home. It’s also the only Parisian... More

Raphael Hotel in Paris is an hotel that hasn't done anything to modernize its style or decoration. It looks still exactly like beginning of the 20th century, but without having lost anything of its luxurious, but also warm and friendly atmosphere-one feels like having entered a time capsule filled with tranquility and non-pretentious luxury. The rooms are very comfortable, with walk -in... More

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
