My husband and I visited the Grand Hotel Malher in August 2015. We had a very nice stay, the hotel is a great value and has a fantastic location--especially if you are visiting Paris on a Sunday when many restaurants are closed (most restaurants and shops in the Marais were open on Sunday). It is a short walk to the... More

On our first visit we stay in a very small uncomfortable room. For our next visit we booked the tripple room, much bigger with a seperate toilet. During day time there is a very friendly lady on duty, always with a big smile willing and able ti assist with info and questions. For breakfast you only get "bread" so if... More

My fiance and I stayed here the night before Bastille day in July. The rooms are small but well appointed and modern - excellent value for this price range. It's situated in a good location in Marais, just off the main drag, close to the metro and with plenty of restaurants a short walk away.

We stayed in a triple room at this hotel and it was quite a large room (although layout badly designed) and it had a very large bathroom, which was great! The bed linen on our bed seemed to be larger than needed so therefor seemed to slip! The location in The Marais is great with lots of cafes, bars etc... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our tour of Europe. We arrived before check-in and was initially told that our room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait several hours. The man at the front desk was very kind and was able to put us in a room that was available. The hotel is beautiful. The... More

We booked two rooms for two nights, traveling with our teenage children. The hotel took care ensure we had rooms very close together. Lucas on the front desk was especially helpful, giving us great restaurant tips and checking us in early after a long journey. The rooms are quite small but very clean, especially the bathrooms, and I can recommend... More

Welll located in Marais district, near to a Metro station, short walk to Seine and surrounded by lots of good shopping. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely rooms, very comfortable. Would probably stay here again as & when we return to Paris.

We had a great triple room on the 5th floor. It was air conditioned and even though it was really hot outside the room was cool. There was a separate toilet room from the shower room which was great for us. The room was pretty spacious. My husband and I shared a queen sized bed and our daughter had a... More

Paris can be very expensive and the quality is not always reflected in the price. But this is NOT the case for Grand Hotel Malher. The hotel & the room was is impeccably clean. The room is a good-sized one compared to Paris. The furniture & other appliances were in good condition. The staff was very helpful, giving us good... More

The location was good, close to the Metro. I did not feel like this was a family run business. The staff were very cold, didn't offer much help when asked how to get anywhere. The street is EXTREMELY noisy at 6:30 am. I was awakened every single morning by what must have been restaurant dumpsters full of glass being dumped.... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
