We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It is located in the heart of the Marais district, close to shops, cafes, the metro station, and Place des Vosges. There is also a square surrounded by cafes very close to the hotel, and we very much enjoyed hanging out there. We ate at the various cafes several times. Rooms were... More

I was very happy with my experience at Jeanne d'Arc. I booked a double room for myself and had plenty of room, the room was lovely and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again - the location was great.

Recommended via the TA forums and a few other sites, the customer service from Patrick and all at this incredible hotel are beyond fabulous. Rooms are very basic and decorated in a mix of decor, older style bathrooms but all very functional. The tiniest lift I have ever experienced was fun but as I was on 1st floor, I only... More

Great location so it is. Jeanne d'Arc is perfectly located in the Marais district of Paris. You have access to the delights of the restruants and bars and museums of this part of Paris. The hotel is basic though. The rooms can be small.......our toilet seat was broken as well as a dodgy shower head, the room was tiny. In... More

This hotel is located slap-bang in the middle of the Marais, surrounded by a wide range of restaurants, cafes and shops and within easy walking distance of all of the central Paris attractions. The downstairs/reception is bright and airy and the staff friendly and welcoming, speaking good English if your French is a little rusty. It's an old building, like... More

Staff was super nice. Made you feel at home. Breakfast was a roll, croissant, butter & jam, juice and coffee. Very enjoyable. Room was larger than expected. Nothing fancy (believe me!), but exactly what I expected for a two star hotel in a great location at a reasonable rate. I would definitely stay here again!

I've stayed here twice now and my opinion of the hotel is the same. It is a good budget option in the great Marais neighborhood. The rooms are just small and lackluster. But it is expected given the low price-point in the very expensive city of Paris. Service is great - super friendly. The common areas downstairs are quite nice.... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We had a very cozy corner room, which meant lots of windows overlooking the cute street out front. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated but still have interesting architectural details, such as a stone feature wall. The hotel is in a great location, down a fairly quiet little street but... More

Fabulous little hotel tucked away in a perfect location in the Marais. Very close to Rue de Rivoli and Saint-Paul Metro, and right in the thick of wonderful shops, bars and restaurants of the Marais. Many wonderful parts of Paris are walkable. Hotel staff are friendly and warm, and rooms are lovely - recently refurbished bathrooms make this great value... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
