Beautiful rooms and common areas create a wonderful private setting with great convenience to shopping, St. Germain, the Latin Quarter and Metro service.

My wife and I stayed at l'Abbaye for four nights while in Paris together without kids for the first time in a long time. We wanted to be in the thick of St Germain, but we value our sleep and the idea of a refuge from the world outside. L'Abbaye delivered in all respects - the hotel is just off... More

The Hotel de L'Abbaye was our favorite part of Paris, which is saying a lot. From the moment we arrived, jetlagged after a long flight, the hotel was a refuge of peace and hospitality. We loved the breakfasts in the tranquil conservatory and appreciated the kindness of Mehmet, who served us every morning. The hotel was centrally located for walking... More

The Hotel de L'abbaye is a charming and quiet small hotel in St. Germain within walking distance to St. Sulpice, Jardin du Luxembourg, Latin Quarter, shopping, museums, the metro and excellent dining experiences. It is pricey, but worth it.

We will always try to stay in this wonderful hotel when we visit Paris. The hotel is quite small and has the feel of staying in the large home of Parisian acquaintances. Breakfast is offered daily, as late as you wish, in the parlor and patio, and guests take their time eating, reading and listening to the birds outside. All... More

It took me a while to come to Tripadvisor to write a review about this hotel. Shame on me, specially because I have chosen this hotel based on Tripadvisor's reviews. Honeymoon, Christmas and New Year's in Paris - add to that a fantastic hotel and you have the perfect trip. Expensive? Yes, but who said that Paris is cheap? If... More

Ok, anyone can stay in a chain hotel, but you will never get chance to experience a Parisian gem like Hotel de l’Abbaye in Saint-Germain. If you blink, you may miss the entrance to the hotel, but what else is GPS for! My wife and I just took 10 days in Europe and one of the highlights was our stay... More

My husband and I just returned from a two night stay at the Abbaye, that we had planned for our fifth anniversary. We were floored by the hotel's elegant location on rue cassette, behind rue bonaparte in the 5th and 6th, around the corner from st germaine de pres and at st sulpice Metro stop. If you are going to... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
