Our stay here was memorable because of the close attention and care of the Staff. Room was spacious, we had a duplex suite. It was clean and warm. Only downside was the totally acceptable dual single double bed was made as 2 singles. A delicious continental breakfast was included with extras if desired. The Hotel is centrally located and walking... More

This being my first time in Paris I wanted a boutique hotel that was close to the city center but quiet for my wife and I! I have the luxury of travel in my business having stayed on some of the very best Asian and North American hotels! This hotel is a WOW! What a terrific hotel! The staff here... More

My wife and I stayed here on our first visit to Paris and loved it! The hotel staff members were friendly and helpful, and the setting was romantic and peaceful. Although we spent most of our time roaming the city, hotel abbaye added to our amazing visit to Paris. We will certainly stay here again...

Our fourth stay at the Abbaye. Our room was beautifully decorated with the warmth of a classical Parisian salon. Same staff met us on arrival. Wonderful to end the night sitting in front of the fire in huge lounges with cup of hot chocolate or a glass of champagne. Breakfast room in glass conservatory overlooking garden and fountain. Our children... More

Five stays in this very special hotel in St. Germaine... and I have never been disappointed! Each time I walk in the door I feel as if I have 'come home.' The staff is warm and welcoming, and eager to make our time in Paris perfect. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated, with many quiet places to relax after a... More

This was our third stay at this charming hotel. The staff is wonderful and caters to your needs. The rooms, while small, are comfortable and well appointed. The common areas are beautifully decorated and a great place for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. The hotel is situated on a quiet side street only steps to the... More

The location is perfect, quiet in St. Germain, walkable to Seine and lovely shops. Cute restaurants and delicious bakeries. The staff at the hotel are kind and talented and calm. Were immensely helpful to us with our many needs. The living rooms and small meeting areas are so beautifully and tastefully designed and cozy. The fireplace, the French couches and... More

Having visited Paris numerous times this was our second stay in the wonderful Saint Germain but our first stay at the Hotel de l'Abbaye. Communication by email prior to our stay was excellent. We asked the hotel to make a reservation at Pizza Chic (next door) in advance of our stay and this was done with no problems. Our room... More

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The location is perfect--on a quiet street steps from 2 Metro lines. The room was small but charming, the bathroom was modern (ask for a wall mounted, and not a hand-held shower!), the linens were high quality, and the staff was always helpful. A delicious continental breakfast was included and served in a beautiful... More

The location was perfect, the staff was most accommodating. The rooms were delightful and very clean. We could not have been given a better recommendation for our stay in Paris. Our experience at your fine hotel was well above all of our expectations. Thank You

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
