This was our 2nd stay at the hotel and it was just as fabulous as the first time. I am so very p,eased to say that nothing has changed, not even the team, which is testamount to the service and importance of the guest. I absolutely would not stay anywhere else when in Paris. Close to St Sulpice, Luxembourg Gardens,... More

We have stayed at Hotel de l'Abbaye since it opened 35+ years ago, and have loved it from our very first visit. The service, superb from the beginning, has remained top-notch, with much of the same staff still there. It was heartening to be greeted with warm handshakes by all upon our arrival this trip, and offered many small kindnesses... More

Excellent hotel. Clean, quite, with personnel who willing to help you. If I have to say something against it is only about the limited choices in breakfast and dinner. But again, you are in Paris...so the choices are endless !

We just returned from 4 terrific nights in Paris at the Hotel de l'Abbaye. The hotel is lovely, terrific location, wonderful staff and the rooms are delightful. We will definitely return on our next visit. It is an elegant gem in the Saint-Germaine.

This was our first visit to Hotel de l'Abbaye, but not our last. Our trip to Paris was to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and this hotel was a wonderful choice in a great location. All of the staff was friendly and helpful with details of reservations, directions, etc. The tasteful French decor of l'Abbaye was we had hoped for, and... More

We stayed for four nights in September and this is our second time staying here. Our room was perfect and large by Paris standards. The full bath included a tub and shower and double sinks. The decoration made one really believe in the magic of Paris. Tasteful art and furniture and a nice complimentary basket of fruit awaited on our... More

What more can I say! Our fifth visit to the Hotel de l'Abbaye. Every visit as perfect as the last. The staff has changed but not the service. Perfect, professional, friendly, concerned, immediate. The hotel has been beautifully redecorated since our last visit with wonderful detail to taste and atmosphere. Our room, a standard, was just perfect and the large... More

A little nugget in the heart of the Left Bank. Friendly and courteous staff in a quiet hotel, beautifully decorated and maintained. Rooms are small but very characterful and pretty. Ideal base for exploring Paris and close to the Jardins du Luxembourg, the Pantheon and Sorbonne. Great shopping areas and restaurants close by.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
