While I gree that the manager Abigail and her staff are very cordial and helpful, and thatthe hotel ahs been elegantly furnished, the rooms are much to small mfor a tay of more than 2/3 days; I stayed for six. The "double room' barely large enough for me to navigate alone, without hitting the wall; i do not see how... More

Dear Etiennedubronx, First of all, the entire team thanks you for your feedback and is happy that you appreciated the service they provided while you were staying with us at hotel Bourg Tibourg. As for most of the hotels in Paris, space is limited, especially in the Marais as it is a very old neighborhood. However, for your comfort during... More

Having stayed in a number of hotels in Paris, including in the Marais, we decided to try Hotel Bourg Tibourg for a long weekend break. As others have mentioned the hotel is centrally located in the Marais and steps away from a wide range of restaurants and bars. We asked the hotel staff for a dinner recommendation one night and... If you consider the Marais to be at the centre of Paris, as I do, you can do no better than stay at the hotel Bourg Tibourg. If you are used to, and expect, a Hilton or Trump don't bother. The hotel us a small one, limited a little in size but bursting with character and glamour. If you are... More

Apart from the wonderful Parisian atmosphere the highlight was the friendly and helpful staff. Their restaurant suggestions were superb and they booked them happily for us. We will come again. p.s. the place smells sublime. There is a charming interior garden

The hotel is definitely a quirky boutique hotel. The rooms are small - but quaint and very well appointed. There's a fully stocked mini bar - TV, Robes etc., so it feels more luxurious than the price would indicate. Great location in Marais - walking distance to Notre Dame. Staff are very helpful & welcoming.

Dear ELADMcDDF, Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on your recent stay at hotel Bourg Tibourg. Jacques Garcia has lived in the Marais over 20 years, and he designed the hotel in a neo-gothic oriental way to be in relation with the area's history. As the Marais used to be the medieval center of Paris, this... More

This is an adorable hotel. The character is great. Only negatives-- small rooms, even smaller elevator, so be prepared for some steps, and breakfast isn't included. However the breakfast is very good! The service was very good as well, always someone to open the door and get your key for you. I wish I had gotten their names but there... More

Bourg Tibourg was our third stop after Rome and Florence. We liked the french bohemienne style and the intimate decor. Our room was parisian size which is ok here and allover Europe but despite the size it was very romantic. The Marais area is like a village and is full of nice little elegant shops and lovely cafes.

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights and we had a wonderful experience. The rooms as you will read, are small; but rooms in Paris generally are. The staff were excellent - very helpful with all aspects. It's a wonderfully romantic hotel, slightly gothic, but very original and with great breakfasts. Having been to Paris so many times, I'd... Dear TravelHamster, It was such a pleasure having you and your girlfriend at the hotel and making you discover the Marais area. Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
