Stayed here in early October 2014. The public spaces are ultimate Parisian. Was in a single room which is very, very cozy as expected for a European hotel, but spent a good amount of time in the comfortable living room like furniture in the lobby to relax. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Has a great charm and creates the... More

I visited Hotel Bourg Tibourg again this past week and found it even better than the first time. The staff continues to be unbelievably nice. I tortured them over email about getting me a reservation at a difficult restaurant and they persistently called until they secured the reservation. When I thanked them, they acted as if it was all just... More

The Hotel Bourg Tibourg was a lovely property in the perfect little section or the the Marais. It is walking distance to Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame and all of the charming shops and restaurants in the Marais. The staff was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. The rooms and finishings as well as common spaces were in excellent... More

We've just returned from a fabulous two night stay at this thoroughly charming hotel. The staff couldn't do enough to help us, without being overbearing. They recommended and booking a restaurant that catered for vegetarians, and offered to allow us to keep our cases at the hotel after we'd checked out so we could continue exploring the neighbourhood. We were... More

Finally! A hip hotel for adults. None of the acrylic boxes, doll’s house furniture or obnoxious artist’s abstracts posing as intrusive cool, the Bourg Tibourg enfolds you in a warm, quiet Victorian fantasy décor. Its genteel pacing soothes with total attention to detail and comfort. It looks like a steampunk movie set without the machines. The smartly dressed staff treats... More

Dear EdgarCosset, How can we thank you after such a positive feedback? Our day to day goal is to create a unique experience for each of our guests and to make them travel through our very own univers. It was the background of the area that inspired Jacques Garcia when he designed the hotel in a neo-gothic style, and his... More

Great location. Friendly engaging service. Rooms are small but beautifully designed and decorated. A cute little escape. Everything was near by. With streets disappearing in all directions to things worth seeing. Notre Dame across the street across a bridge etc etc

Welcoming, comfortable, stylish. We will definitely return. We agree with many other reviews. This is a hidden gem. Small rooms (it is located in the center of Paris after all!) and a bit pricey (again, thee center of Paris!) are the only reasons I didn't rank this a 5 star.

Dear Joe D, The first three words of your comment are true rewards for us, thank you! The entire team is devoted to make our guests' stay as comfortable as possible and so was Jacques Garcia when he designed the hotel. Even if we are lucky enough to be located in the center of Paris, we want to keep this... More

We've stayed here twice now and would certainly return. Lots of style, lovely people. As everyone comments, the rooms are very small, but it's Paris and c'est la vie. Wifi was free but painfully slow. I can't think of anything else negative to say, so it's an "excellent" rating from me!

I was not planning on staying in Paris for the night so booked this last minute i.e. I had zero expectations. There were 3 large conferences so rooms were in short supply in the city but I secured this for €220 which isn't bad for Paris. The hotel is really small. You would miss it if you blinked while driving... More

Dear Andmoz, Hotel Bourg Tibourg was designed by Jacques Garcia as an intimate and private boutique hotel, therefore it is discret, as a secret address. The ambiance and the neo-gothic design are directly linked to the history of the Marais, that used to be the medieval center of Paris. Moreover, one of Jacques Garcia’s principles of decoration is to follow... More

I spontaneously hopped on a train to Paris from Zurich last weekend and booked this hotel because of a review I read on ahotellife.com and instantly fell in love with the place. I am a fan of Jacques Garcia in general, but this little gem of a hotel, felt more like a home than a hotel and the experience was... More

Dear NYCNomad2013, If you are a fan of Jacques Garcia, you will be interested to know that according to him: "The Bourg Tibourg aims at letting its guests travel not in space, but in time". This genius of design, thought it was interesting to show how a small place could become grand and this idea guided him all along his... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighorhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
