This is a small gem that is simply lovely. In the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the Marais is this tiny oasis of comfort and great service. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful from making dinner reservations, suggestions for rental car return, and to going out of their way to make calls necessary... More

What a charming boutique hotel in the middle of the Marais, run by an owner for whom this is a labor of love, who leaves no detail unattended -- who truly understands the needs of his guests! Our family stayed for five nights in two rooms; one on the front side, the other on the rear side. The rooms were... More

I selected the hotel from Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. Very convenient to the shops and sites in the Marais and to the Seine, Caron de Beaumarchais is a sophisticated small hotel with a gracious staff. I was a guest for three nights. Etienne was particularly helpful to this solo traveler by making dinner reservations and arranging transportation... More

Booked this hotel for 3 days in December 2014 and had no regrets. Very conveniently located close to the Ille de la Cite, it was close to major attractions like the Notre Dame, the Lourve and Place Vosges. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only issue I had was that there were not enough electrical power points; only... More

Dear Madam, dear Sir, What a pity you did not mention this while here. All rooms have another plug under the bed. With all our best regards, Alain Bigeard (owner/manager) More

We stayed here in November for 5 nights. The hotel is charming and totally different from the larger chain hotels which is why we wanted to stay there. The rooms are small, but with everything that you need for a short stay maybe a small kettle with tea/coffee available would be an advantage (so glad I took our own kettle).... More

Caron de beaumarchais is in a great location very close to the islands. We had a small room but no complaint about that, had smaller. Fascinating furnishings. Great breakfast well described by others. Friendly staff.

This hotel was located so perfectly, especially for first time visitors to Paris. It was very close to the main bus line, walking distance to Notre Dame, and great restaurants. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our private bathroom and breakfasts. We will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Caron de Beaumarchais for a romantic weekend with my husband. The hotel has a great location in the middle of Marais, close to restaurants, bars, sights and shopping - a short walk from Metro stations St Paul and Hotel de Ville. The hotel is very romantic and charming - it looks like a shop from the... More

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at the Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais. We absolutely loved it! It is perfectly located, a short walk to many Paris attractions. And if you need to go farther afield, there is a metro station only a 5 minute walk away. We stayed in room 60, and believe me, it was TINY! Hardly... More

I've stayed here with my husband on four occasions over the last 8 years. We've loved it every time. The location is fantastic with plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. Staff are extremely helpful in giving advice or making dinner reservations. We usually pass on the breakfast and grab something at a nearby bakery. My husband likes to get... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighorhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
