The discreet entrance into this hotel leads you into an 18th Century salon, just as if you were walking into someone's house. And that is exactly how the owner wants you to feel -- as if you're a guest, bot just a paying customer. The classical music you hear could be emanating from the period instruments that are staged, and... More

My husband and I stayed here a few days ago. It was our first trip to Paris. We were delighted with our stay. The reception staff (who spoke English) were lovely. Our luggage had been misplaced by the airline (ugh!) and the staff offered to intercede on our behalf. We were very grateful because we were so tired and frustrated.... More

Fantastic location in the Marais, lovely reception area and friendly staff, perfect decor, but tiny room for five days stay. Like living in a jewel box. Pays homage to Beaumarchais, librettist for Mozart, but he didn't live here, he lived up the street. Tiny bathroom too, no shower curtain means the wash basin area gets soaked every time you have... Dear Sir, The hotel was not for you. It is such a pity you did not ask at least for a bathroom curtain or for a change of room. You told us nothing, we always ask if everything is in order after the check-in...We would offer you a change of room or for a better place, immediately, same rate. A... More

The daily cost is a bit high, it is located at one of the best regions/streets in Paris. The hotel is a stylish one, reception people is very kind, breakfast (Euros 13) is quite good. However, it is possible to notice some points that must be taken care of: the room I was in (11) had a tear on the... More

Dear Sir, (Renovation is done in all rooms, room 1rst floor next week.) You should have ask immediately you were not satisfied. A problem with a curtain is so quickly resolved. A blanket is very easy to change. A change of room is also always possible! More

My husband had been to Paris twenty years ago on business. He always wanted to take me there, but there were just too many other things to see and do first. Finally we were ready. But the time I had off did not match with any of the tours we investigated. We were a little leary of traveling to a... More

Choosing an hotel to stay in in Paris is no mean feat but when it is done and it is one such as this hotel, all the research is worth it. To say that Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais is a gem seems rather cliched. It is better than that. Attention to detail is beyond belief. If you wish to be... More

Some of the nicest staff I've ever encountered -- even the hotel dog is charming! (Beware: he will guilt you into giving up some of your breakfast.) The location can't be beat if you're on the Right Bank -- a short walk to the river and various Metro stops, not to mention all the attractions the Marais has to offer.... More

I have been many times to Paris and stayed in various hotels but this one will definitely be the one I will stay at next time I travel to Paris. The hotel is full of character from the outside, through to reception, breakfast room and bedrooms. The rooms are not particularly big but quite sizeable for a hotel in this... More

As others have said, this hotel is lovely. Very kind helpful service from all the staff, comfy bed and wonderful breakfast which set us up so well for the day. We shared a breakfast which was more than adequate and paid for extra coffee. It's right in the heart of the wonderful Marais district - the rooms are not large... More

A charming small hotel with wonderful Parisian character, stuffed full of antiques and old-world atmosphere. We had a very nice quiet, cosy room on a high floor with a small balcony, though the cool and wet winter weather prevented us from making the best use of it!. Our hosts were extremely pleasant and helpful, and provided us with excellent suggestions... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
