We recently spent a few nights and days of our month long honeymoon in Paris at Hotel Caron. It was a fantastic experience! We first checked in and our room wasn't ready...the front desk was happy to hold our bags, provide wifi and give us some suggestions on sightseeing and such. The staff was very nice and accommodating from check... More

Authentic atmosphere in a trendy area of town. Clean and comfortable room right on the bus line and a short walk to Notre Dame. Close to restaurants and shopping. Good central location in Paris. Would stay here again.

Very charming hotel decorated in the 18th century style. Walk into the lobby and be met with some interesting classical pieces, a warm fire smell, and customer service that cannot be matched. Rooms are small, but for Paris we are told this is the norm. The bathroom was extremely cramped, no shower door or curtain (also Parisian style from my... More

Warm, welcoming staff, they really were there for us! Even the directors dog was happy to see us! Service good, we felt relaxed and comfortable. Romantic flowers all over, walls, curtains, even in the lift! Lovely reception decorated with antique music instruments, and flower tapestry here as well. Our room was a bit small, but very nice though, cosy. The... More

I don't really want to leave a review for this hotel because I don't want people to find out about it....but my husband and I agree that this was the best hotel of our entire month in Europe. Everything was wonderful - the superior breakfast, convenient location, the incredibly comfortable bed (my husband is still talking about this bed, which... More

We have stayed here from time to time over 15 years. It remains our favourite hotel for a weekend away in Paris. The decor makes it feel special and the location is the best for walking to the places we love in central Paris.

We usually stay at a different hotel, but decided that because we would be in Paris in July we selected one with air conditioning. We were happy that we did as arrived during this summer’s heat wave. Our fairly small comfortable room was on a high floor and was larger than the two on the top floor with balconies. Our... More

For a total vintage Parisian boutique hotel experience, Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais is perfect. My husband and I stayed five nights in June 2015 and three nights in July 2015. Located in the lively and vibrant le Marais 4th arrondissement, this delightful small hotel is perfectly situated with two metro stations within walking distance: St Paul & Hotel de Ville.... More

We only stayed here for our last night before our flight back home. We had explored the Marais earlier in our trip and so knew the neighborhood reasonably well. If you are looking for a good bakery miss manon is a few blocks away down rue rivals a little past the St. Paul's metro stop, also nearby is Au petit... More

My husband and I have been staying at this jewelbox of a hotel since we discovered it in Conde Nast Traveler's Word of Mouth in 1994. We have loved it ever since, and have stayed here about a dozen times. Alain, one of the original owners (he started the hotel with his late father, Etienne), is still on the scene,... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
