For a total vintage Parisian boutique hotel experience, Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais is perfect. My husband and I stayed five nights in June 2015 and three nights in July 2015. Located in the lively and vibrant le Marais 4th arrondissement, this delightful small hotel is perfectly situated with two metro stations within walking distance: St Paul & Hotel de Ville.... More

We only stayed here for our last night before our flight back home. We had explored the Marais earlier in our trip and so knew the neighborhood reasonably well. If you are looking for a good bakery miss manon is a few blocks away down rue rivals a little past the St. Paul's metro stop, also nearby is Au petit... More

My husband and I have been staying at this jewelbox of a hotel since we discovered it in Conde Nast Traveler's Word of Mouth in 1994. We have loved it ever since, and have stayed here about a dozen times. Alain, one of the original owners (he started the hotel with his late father, Etienne), is still on the scene,... More

This is an absolutely charming small hotel in a fantastic location. Wonderful cosy atmosphere and 18th-century themed decor. Welcoming, helpful staff, small but lovely rooms with air conditioning (!) and free wifi, *and* they serve breakfast until noon (which you can opt to have in your room, additional bonus). My room had a small balcony and I had my coffee... More

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. Both experiences were great. The location can't be beat. Heart of the old Marais with close access to two metro stops and loads of restaurants and bakeries nearby. The rooms are small but no smaller than is common in Paris. Bathrooms have a bath, which is much appreciated at the end of... More

Located in the Marais district, this lovely boutique hotel in a restored building is well positioned. Close enough to the major sites yet quiet with a nice neighbourhood feel. Staff are helpful and accommodating. Many restaurants and cafes nearby.

Our stay at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais was very nice, the location is supreme being in the heart of the Marais district with shopping and dining galore. The hotel is quaint and the staff get to know the customers because there are only 12 rooms I believe. The staff was able to help with recommendations and reservations to make our... More

My Mom and I recently returned from a fabulous 14 day stay in this charming hotel in Le Marais district of Paris. I can't say enough about this beautiful gem. Everything from arrival to checkout was absolutely perfect! Philip (who we adored!) helped us in with our bags, delivered them to our room and made sure that everything was just... More

Very Provencial in decor with a warm, friendly and very helpful staff - Philip was a gem! A small place in a central location, clean, and comfy. The Air conditioning was a plus, not always available- a must have for a summer stay. Loved this place!

A group of four (including our mothers) of us stayed at the Caron de Beaumarchais for four nights and cannot say enough wonderful things about the hotel and staff. First of all, the hotel is in the very charming Marais district, very close to lots of adorable shops and cafes, as well as Notre Dame. There are very busy metro... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
