What a find this gem was! Great location, very friendly staff (English speaking) and makes you feel like you have your own little secret piece of paris for the night! We arrived and were very kindly welcomed with champagne as we were on our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. The interior of all the rooms is covered in different... More

The room was comfortable (could have used some extra electrical outlets). Modern bathroom fixtures and very comfortable beds. The staff at the front desk were most helpful in suggesting restaurants and providing directions -spoke very good English. Internet worked great. The Marais district is a great place to be on a Sunday because many of the stores are open (H... More

A lovely little gem of a hotel. Paris typified from the reception, to the quaintly decorated lift up to our lovely room on the 6th floor. The check in was quick and welcoming, all the staff speak excellent English and are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a real bargain at 13 euros for 2 people, we never completely finished... From the reasonable priced room to prime location in Le Marais, this tiny jewel outshines other hotels I've stayed at in Paris. Everything we needed was steps away or a convenient two block walk to the subway. And who can say their hotel is a short 9 minute walk to Notre Dame! Bus 69 pulls up at the corner and... More

Great little hotel in the heart of the Marais neighborhood. We stayed in a nice room (#41) facing the street. The rooms are fairly small but that is to be expected in a building from the 17th century. The room had a fairly outdated double bed with really poor pillows. A great up-to-date bed with a good mattress, a great... More

Dear Sir, Beds have been renewed in 2012, mattress in 2014 and most comments thanks for their comfort. Pillows needs to be changed every year you are right and we are just waiting for an order (80 pillows) passed last Friday. Anyhow you had 2 other pillows in the cupboards and we could also propose others. A minibar is in... More

The discreet entrance into this hotel leads you into an 18th Century salon, just as if you were walking into someone's house. And that is exactly how the owner wants you to feel -- as if you're a guest, bot just a paying customer. The classical music you hear could be emanating from the period instruments that are staged, and... More

My husband and I stayed here a few days ago. It was our first trip to Paris. We were delighted with our stay. The reception staff (who spoke English) were lovely. Our luggage had been misplaced by the airline (ugh!) and the staff offered to intercede on our behalf. We were very grateful because we were so tired and frustrated.... More

Fantastic location in the Marais, lovely reception area and friendly staff, perfect decor, but tiny room for five days stay. Like living in a jewel box. Pays homage to Beaumarchais, librettist for Mozart, but he didn't live here, he lived up the street. Tiny bathroom too, no shower curtain means the wash basin area gets soaked every time you have... Dear Sir, The hotel was not for you. It is such a pity you did not ask at least for a bathroom curtain or for a change of room. You told us nothing, we always ask if everything is in order after the check-in...We would offer you a change of room or for a better place, immediately, same rate. A... More

The daily cost is a bit high, it is located at one of the best regions/streets in Paris. The hotel is a stylish one, reception people is very kind, breakfast (Euros 13) is quite good. However, it is possible to notice some points that must be taken care of: the room I was in (11) had a tear on the... More

Dear Sir, (Renovation is done in all rooms, room 1rst floor next week.) You should have ask immediately you were not satisfied. A problem with a curtain is so quickly resolved. A blanket is very easy to change. A change of room is also always possible! More

My husband had been to Paris twenty years ago on business. He always wanted to take me there, but there were just too many other things to see and do first. Finally we were ready. But the time I had off did not match with any of the tours we investigated. We were a little leary of traveling to a... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
