Beautiful one-night stay as a gift from this boutique hotel in the Paris Left Bank for a literary award I had received. My husband and I were treated like royalty. We stayed in one of the recently redecorated Deluxe suites where champagne, flowers and a pretty platter of chocolates and cut fruit awaited us.Very nice breakfast, and impeccable service throughout.... The location was great, close to several main attractions in Paris. But, apart the location, we did not get really impressed with the hotel. The bedroom was very small, the bed occupies almost the entire room (Superior Double Room) - I know it is normal for Paris, but I was expecting more from a five stars hotel.

Given the security situation after the Paris attacks, I sought to cancel the trip. No refund, even when I asked just to reschedule for the same amount or greater. Sad. Unfortunately, American Express continues to recommend this hotel. I wouldn't.

My husband and I stayed at this Left Bank hotel a few years ago and despite the small room, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We returned mid-October for 4 nights at the end of a tour. The Desk Manager and Concierge, Benjamin and Xavier, were warm, courteous & extremely helpful, booking restaurants in the area and offering advice. Chloe and Marc... More

From the moment we checked in, the staff members greeted us with a warm welcome! We were able to get our room right away and we received a bottle of complimentary champagne and chocolates upon arrival. If like me you prefer Paris South of the River and particularly St Germain de Pres then this Hotel is perfect. Surrounded by bars, antique and art shops just off Boulevard St Germain if you go south and 100 metres fro the river if you go north. But was sadly dissatisfied despite everybody else's stellar review!! There were definitely many nice things about it - I was greeted nicely and the front desk staff were nothing but accommodating, friendly, nice and helpful. This is a very good boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. The service was top notch and very helpful. I would certainly return to Paris, this hotel and the neighborhood. The access to puplic transportation is easy...but we Ubered.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
