My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Montalembert for 10 days during the French Open. We felt so welcomed by the wonderful and friendly staff that I felt the need to share experience. Starting with Fabian at the front door, we felt like a guest a home rather than just another person staying in a hotel. The entire... More

We have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times, both as a couple and with our now 20 yr old daughters. First, the location cannot be beat. A 10 minute walk up Rue du Bac, cross the bridge and one arrives at the Tuilleries and The Louvre. We spent 3 years staying with our young daughters at Le Bristol.... More

My daughter and I stayed for four nights at the hotel and loved every minute of it. The english speaking staff is so friendly and genuinely wants you to have a great experience. Hotel Montalembert is the perfect location for walking to all the sites. The small size of the hotel also made it a very personal experience. There were... More

Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Hotel Montalembert for 9 nights and it was fabulous! Here's what we loved: LOCATION: Wow! We couldn't believe how awesome the location was! We could walk to major landmarks like the Musee d'Orsay, the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens, and Notre Dame. We often strolled along the Seine after dinner, since it was... More

From the bustling lobby to the outdoor bar to the friendly staff, we couldn't have chosen a better spot to stay for 6 nights. Yes the rooms were small, but our bathroom was a bit bigger, thanks to the upgrade we paid for. On the Sunday after we arrived, my back was in terrible pain and the hotel arranged for... More

My Husband and I stayed at this hotel in late May, as part of a long weekend to Paris. You could not ask for a better staff and location. The hotel is not a 5 star! The rooms are in need of a fresh look!

Nice hotel near the Orsay Museum and S aint Germain de Pres. Rooms are small and bathrooms even smaller. We had a deluxe room on the 5th floor and though it had all the basics: security safe, minibar, desk, closet, small balcony facing a quiet street it felt very small. It would be okay for a weekend but we stayed six... More

Located a short distance from the D’Orsay and Louvre museums made this a wonderful choice for us. Our room was on the second floor facing the Rue le Bac. We enjoyed the breakfasts. The primary thing we found was the pleasant and efficient help from the staff. The receptionists at the front desk and the concierge were most helpful and... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
