We are used to staying at the Park Hyatt in Vendome and decided to do something a bit more low key and boutique... and what a disappointment we found at the Hotel Montalembert. Had booked a junior suite and upon check in the front desk manager cheerfully tells us we had been upgraded to a suite, only to find out... More

Spent a couple of nights at this gem at the heart of St. Germain. Super confortable is probably the best description. A perfect place. Do not miss the adjacent restaurant. Perfect location, with the advantage of Joel Roubuchon just next door. Quiet and formal, will come back for sure. Bed linens are great.

Stayed over the valentine's day weekend, the hotel is located in a fantastic location, just a few yards from the Seine and Musee d'orsay. If you feel up to it you can also walk to the Eiffel Tower as it is in the same district. We were greeted by a lovely woman at the front desk who was very happy... More

My boyfriend and I just spent 4 nights/3 days at Hotel Montalembert, admittedly chosen from a handful of options because Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) recently Instagrammed a photo there and everything she does is perfection :) It turned out that we could not have made a better decision - the hotel was everything we could have hoped for and more.... My wife and I just returned from a 7 night stay at this wonderful boutique hotel on the left bank. The location was perfect, just off the Boulevard St Germain and a short walk to Musee Orsey and the Louvre. Our room was a nice size(large for Paris) with a beautiful bathroom. The staff could not have been more accommodating.... More

The perfect location for great restaurants, art galleries and shopping. That is why I chose Hotel Montalembert. I took a junior suite so the room was spacious and well-appointed, the bathroom large and modern, and with a balcony view of the Eiffel Tower. Beautiful excess for one. Due to my circumstance of lost luggage, I stayed at this hotel for... More

This is the 2nd time for us at this home-away-from-home. Excellent location. The staff treated us with respect & provided great service. Their restaurant was excellent & all 3 restaurants recommended for dinner in Paris by the concierge was excellent. The only discomfort we faced was with the tiny bathroom & the dripping of excessive water on the floor when... More

We only had a slight problem withh the door of the bathroom and the shower but it was fine, we would recommend it definitely!

My room was a little bit small but comfortable. Also the hotel and my room was very clean. Room service was absolutely good. Location was great. I love this hotel! It takes 5 min. to Cafe Flore or La Bonmarche.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
