This is a beautiful, elegant hotel, with lovely rooms, comfortable beds and all the amenities. Especially nice is the dining room and bar. Breakfast and dinner are served in the cozy yet sophisticated dining room which just got another michelin star...so give it a try. It is an older building so you have to accept that its history is part... More

We had a wonderful time this past weekend at the Lancaster. We came to Paris for Valentine's Day and the staff made us feel very welcome. Clearly, they are well trained and enjoy what they do. The room was fine, but the controls in the room were a bit odd. We had to take a panel off the radiator to... More

First time to Paris and immediately fell in love. Fantastic location if you are new to the city. Champs élysées is certainly avoided for native Parisians and frequent visitors, but being near many metro stations, taxi stands, and restaurants that are globally familiar is essential. The restaurant in the hotel was exquisite and was just finally done being renovated. The... More

this hotel is fine for a few night. it is clean and quiet. the location is not great unless you a shopper and want to be near the arc de triomphe area. the rooms are really very small. the bathrooms smaller. they are sparsely furnished, but it sort of seems fine while you are there. my room was $300 per... I arrived here after a long flight from Sydney on New Year's Day so early in the morning I had to knock on the door as the hotel was shut up for the night. I was let in and warmly greeted and then when we checked in, to our great surprise and joy a room was available despite the early... More

I am repeating what others have said. What makes this hotel special is the staff. The location is convenient. The facility has class, comfort and character. The staff is "off the charts" superb! Speaking with Eric(Chief Concierge) about dining options, a week before my arrival, signaled the quality of service we would experience. He and his colleagues could not have... More

I recently had a mini vacation to Paris. I stayed at the Hotel Lancaster. It is an older Hotel with great warmth. There was not one person in their employ that was less than extremely courteous, accomadating, and friendly. We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Lancaster and simply loved it. The hotel itself is wonderful; quaint, well-appointed, luxurious, well-decorated and extremely comfortable. What makes this hotel great, though, are the wonderful people who work there. From Alistair at the front door, to all of the front desk and concierge people (especially Eric and... More

An old-fashioned hotel, with old-fashioned service. Really good, if you want the old style. I like it. Unfortunately old fashioned service doesn't stop the digger starting in the street outside at 5.30am, complete flashing light and bleeping/warning sound. Rue De Berri can be suprisingly noisy. Book a room out the back, is my advice.

As a "Road Warrior" across the globe for business, I get to see some "bests" and "worsts" of hotels. Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
