We where 4 backpackers sharing a 4-bed room, so it was rather cramped in the small room. The hostel is really fresh and updated. The breakfast is okay for the people who'd like to save some cash. But otherwise we just went down the street to all the small markets for fresh fruit, bread, pastries and so on. Montmartre is... More

Stayed in this budget priced hostel for three nights with a party of students, and can highly recommend it for those who want to save a few Euros to soend elsewhere in the city. It is quite typical of the smaller, independently run hostels in Paris, with the decor being quite basic, but it is clean, well run and perfectly... More

Excellent value, clean and friendly. This place is a hostel, but is more like a budget hotel. The location is close to transport links, with good cafes and restaurants nearby. The rooms are basic but have everything we needed and the price is hard to beat. The hotel has the smallest lift I have ever seen.

We had a great experience at this hostel. Stayed in a 6-bed room, which had a clean private bathroom. I think it helped that our room was on the top floor as well- the bathroom was pretty big and even had a window.. it was nice brushing my teeth to an accordion playing on the street. The room itself was... More

This hostel is a great value. The beds are comfortable, each has its own plug and light, daily breakfast is served, and the bathrooms are en-suite. My only minor complaints are that the lockers are quite small and not located in the rooms and the wifi doesn't work in the kitchen area. Very easy access to several metro stations and... More

The hostel was clean and the rooms were accommodating. We were travelling to Paris for 5 days to see all of the sights, I would say the hostel is a bit out of the way in terms of accessibility to main tourist attractions but it is very near to Sacre-Coeur. No problems with the hostel.

Really good hostel, very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, bathrooms and good breakfast. Situated in a good location in the heart of montmartre. Near four underground stations. Don't be affraid by the "really really really [...] really small lift" (;

This is a very basic, clean hostel. The staff were very friendly, happy to answers questions and print out boarding passes. The wifi is a good connection and breakfast is included, again, very basic. Croissant and baguette with tea &/or coffee. Perfect location in the heart of Montmartre, with wonderful shops, bars, cafes around, in walking distance to Sacre coeur.... More

I got into Plug-Inn Hostel at 11:30 PM and I was tired. The staff helped me to my room within minutes. They were very helpful and friendly. I stayed for a month, so there were plenty of opportunities for me needing help, and they never let me down. The rooms might have been small, but you pay 26 Euros for... More

I spent two nights at Plug-inn during a low-activity period (end of January), and I checked out with a good overall feeling. I was in a 4 bed dorm, although we've only been two guests each night, so that was really not the worst situation. Pros: Felt clean and still relatively new. The mattress was OK and the bed didn't... Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
