You get what you pay for here. The rooms are small, the beds fairly creaky, but it's a hostel like any other. Good atmosphere, and the area could not be any better. Super quick to get anywhere in the city and Montmartre is perfect for interesting places to eat, drink and wander. If Michael is working on reception overnight, go... More

Good points: My boyfriend and I had booked a 6 bed dorm but got upgraded to a 4 bed dorm (no one else was booked in so it ended up just being me and him for 2 of our 3 nights). I thought it was lovely of the staff member to do this for us at no extra cost. The... More

I recommend this hostel if you are a backpaper, I am not fuzzy. This hostel offered me exactly what I need. The staff is really helpfull! The hostel is near Montmarte, which is a lovely part of Paris, there is a lot of place to visit arround or take a café. It like the movie. You can catch the spirit... More

I live in the outdoors for a living and have stayed in some of the worst and finest hotels and tents in the world. This hostel was right up there with the worst. We were rented a room for two with on suite, the website shows a double bed in a sparse yet comfortable looking room. NONE of that was... More

We where 4 backpackers sharing a 4-bed room, so it was rather cramped in the small room. The hostel is really fresh and updated. The breakfast is okay for the people who'd like to save some cash. But otherwise we just went down the street to all the small markets for fresh fruit, bread, pastries and so on. Montmartre is... More

Stayed in this budget priced hostel for three nights with a party of students, and can highly recommend it for those who want to save a few Euros to soend elsewhere in the city. It is quite typical of the smaller, independently run hostels in Paris, with the decor being quite basic, but it is clean, well run and perfectly... More

Excellent value, clean and friendly. This place is a hostel, but is more like a budget hotel. The location is close to transport links, with good cafes and restaurants nearby. The rooms are basic but have everything we needed and the price is hard to beat. The hotel has the smallest lift I have ever seen.

We had a great experience at this hostel. Stayed in a 6-bed room, which had a clean private bathroom. I think it helped that our room was on the top floor as well- the bathroom was pretty big and even had a window.. it was nice brushing my teeth to an accordion playing on the street. The room itself was... More

This hostel is a great value. The beds are comfortable, each has its own plug and light, daily breakfast is served, and the bathrooms are en-suite. My only minor complaints are that the lockers are quite small and not located in the rooms and the wifi doesn't work in the kitchen area. Very easy access to several metro stations and... More

The hostel was clean and the rooms were accommodating. We were travelling to Paris for 5 days to see all of the sights, I would say the hostel is a bit out of the way in terms of accessibility to main tourist attractions but it is very near to Sacre-Coeur. No problems with the hostel.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
