I got into Plug-Inn Hostel at 11:30 PM and I was tired. The staff helped me to my room within minutes. They were very helpful and friendly. I stayed for a month, so there were plenty of opportunities for me needing help, and they never let me down. The rooms might have been small, but you pay 26 Euros for... More

I spent two nights at Plug-inn during a low-activity period (end of January), and I checked out with a good overall feeling. I was in a 4 bed dorm, although we've only been two guests each night, so that was really not the worst situation. Pros: Felt clean and still relatively new. The mattress was OK and the bed didn't... There are aspects of this "boutique hostel" which will put off regular hotel users such as myself. Some rooms are more like dormitories, the common areas are sparse and functional, and the breakfast is very much school-canteen-style. However, the good outweighs the bad. Our room was basic but clean and functional. The location is fantastic, 5 mins walk from the... More

I adored this hostel! I stayed in a six bed dorm and although it was very small everything was clean and I thought it was very cosy! Our bathroom was actually pretty spacious with a good size bath/shower! The breakfast was nice enough and staff were friendly and helpful! The location is so ideal as you are in such a... More

This is the 2nd time I have stayed there. It's very small, clean and everyone is very helpful. No frills but its a hostel and it's what a hostel should be. The area is wonderful and that is such a bonus! If I'm ever in Paris again this will be where I stay. Do check out the lift.....we called it... More

We stayed here with a group of three girls. We stayed in a private three bed room, which was small but clean. The hostel is in a bit of a noisy area, but we did feel safe here. The breakfast which is included in the room rate is okay, but not very special. However, we would come back here if... More

It is true, as many reviewers say, the room is tiny. However who cares if you are in a great location, with friendly people and staff, the place is clean, bathrooms are new, breakfast is acceptable, free internet, lockers, and a very important LIFT to get to the highest floor without having to do stairs with your luggage! Recommended.

The second time I've stayed here. Yes the lift is the size of a very small rabbit hutch and it gets incredibly hot in August. Pah, that's Paris. I've stayed in both a tiny shared dorm and the double room and both suited my needs well. The breakfast is fine. Wifi worked everywhere and the staff are friendly and helpful.... More

Late review. We stayed in Plug Inn Hostel on July 2013. Front desk receptionist was friendly and nice. Enjoyed our stay so much and was exactly what you need from a hostel. It was also decently located, near a metro station.

To say the 4-person dorm room is "tiny" is an understatement. The metal bunk beds squeak with the slightest movement. I am 4'11 and felt like I couldn't move in the shower. I couldn't close the door to pee in the bathroom without my knees being shoved against the wall. Either restaurant workers/garbage men/who knows what else drive loud trucks... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
