I had an amazing time in Paris! The hotel is well located, I could go directly to le Louvre or Galleries Lafayette with the tube, with no line changes. The room was not very spacious but mine was very nice and comfortable, colorfull and brand new! And you can use internet for free in your room : very convenient. For... More

Stayed at Le Canal for two nights in a top floor room where there was no door to the bathroom, so when you showered the person you were with (thankfully I was with my husband!) could have a good look at you in the shower!! As there were only curtains in the bedroom and only voile curtains in the bathroom... More

This hotel is very far from nice places, there are some very bad restaurants around but people are very kind... The bathroom and shower are separate, very confuse in my opinion... Very tiny room, but very clean ...

Welcome to Paris! We got a price for less than 90 euros per night, and got a nice room with good curtains and comfortable colours, nothing bright. The shower was good, only little shortage of hot water in the mornings. Free breakfast in the weekend, great. If you dont like noise, ask for a room facing toward the courtyard and... More

My fiancee and I stayed her for six nights and were pretty happy with the value for money. As expected the rooms were quite small but that is to be expected in Paris, and we had no problem with the size. The reception staff were very helpful and followed up our booking immediately when they could not find our reservation... More

We stayed for 3 nights. The Bedroom was very small, just enough room for a double bed, barely able to walk around the bed, no room for cases. Hotel is very close to the Metro, unfortunately too close as we were kept awake by noise from running trains. The Bathroom was also very small, knees hit door when sitting on... More

My partner booked here as a surprise as he proposed to me on Paris! All the reviews we had read praised this hotel as a small but clean boutique hotel which i'd say is very accurate. The hotel has just been refurbished and the smell of concrete and paint is still quite strong. There were a few things that could... More

Having recently stayed at Le canal, i would recommend a visit. The hotel is located in the 19E, so a fair distance from the main tourist attractions, but by metro it was hassle free. The metro station riquet is a few steps from the front of the hotel, which means that you don't have to explore the neighbourhood at night... More

We stayed in Le Canal for two nights in the beginning of September. The location, as already mentioned by other reviewers, doesn't look very safe, but the hotel is located right in front of the metro exit, so if you're not planning to take night strolls, that shouldn't be a problem. The hotel, as it's advertised, has undergone renovation, but... More

Staying in La Villette

Neighborhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the center.
