Stayed at the hotel du midi for a few hours, really, as a transit from London to Geneva. Hotel is about 5 minutes walk to Gare du Lyon station. The hotel receptionist was friendly and helpful. Room - tiny and as basic as it can get. Just a clean bed (no bed bugs thank god), clean bathroom, soap provided in... More

staff were helpful, a bit dated but affordable. within walking distance to Gare de Lyon, several restaurants in the area and about a 15 minute walk to the Seine. If one isn't planning on spending too much time indoors but rather out adventuring, this is an adequate establishment.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Midi; it was in a very convenient location, close to everything we needed, the room and bathroom was nice and clean, and staff at reception were always really helpful and friendly. The room was quite small, but cosy and pretty good for Paris, especially for the price we paid. The only thing... More

It was a last minute booking - lost our easyJet going back home (Paris is by far not the worst of places to be stuck in for an extra day). Location is great - literally no more than 5 minutes from Lyon train station). Room is nothing to write home about, I am afraid... But! Given the location and the... More

We stayed at the Midi Gare de Lyon and were pleasantly surprised. We requested a 2 pm checkin, and got it. Our room was on the top floor, which probably helped a little with the noise issue, since that's a little higher above the street. We travel light, so not having an elevator was no problem. The room was clean,... More

What struck us first was the roof... It was on the third floor and the roof was slanting with pillars! So was the bathroom. You have to keep ducking in order to avoid hitting the roof. Check-in is strictly at 3pm. No requests work for even one hour earlier checkin. However, the room was sparkling clean an so the bathroom.... More

We stayed one night because we flew in in the evening and needed to get on a morning train on the next day. The room was clean and the bathroom was good too, though there was no shower curtain for the bathtub so we needed to be extra careful or squat inside the tub when we took a shower. There... More

Having read some of the more recent Trip Advisor reviews of this hotel, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I had chosen it because of its proximity to the Gare De Lyon and the TGV we were booked to catch the next morning. We booked two rooms - two adults and two teenagers. The rooms were clean and spacious... More

Stayed for 1 night, which was 1 to many, I was on the 3rd floor in the attic and I think the name of the hotel is quite apt, as you would have been ok if you were a midget ! I could sit on the toilet with my head out of velux window in the roof and had to... More

Front desk was helpful upon arrival although our room was not ready we didn't have to wait long. Clean. Bathtub only with shower head, but no shower curtain. Some mold on bathroom ceiling, and wood on windows are crumbling from rot. No a/c so can't imagine being here in the summer. Not bad, but expensive for what is offered.
