We really were positively suprised to see the hotel. The room was small, but cosy and tidy. Breakfast was excellent and reseption staff very helpful. A lot of nice and good restaurants and cafes nearby. Location could not be much better in paris, you were able to walk all over!

It is a cozy, relaxed hotel right in what I would describe as central Paris (diagonally opposite the Folies Bergere) where most of the typical Parisian attractions are not more than a 5- 7 min Metro ride. The Grands Boulevard metro station is a short walk from the hotel. Yes the rooms are small, but who cares? Not many people... More

Cozy, modern boutique hotel. Rooms are small but that was anticipated. The location was great, close to attractions and metro. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel go someone looking for a decent hotel near the city centre.

This is an OK hotel. BUT.... the rooms in this hotel are so small you can even open your suitcase in it. It is as if the owner designed the walls to be exactly 15 centimeters from the edges of the bed for maximal spatial efficiency. The location is OK but not great - the nearest metro station is several... More

My husband and I stay here for three days during our visit to Paris. We loved this hotel. The location was great, it was close to many restaurants and steps away from the train station. The staff is extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They offered breakfast for a fee and... More

What a lovely little hotel. Newly renovated, nice and clean. We had 5th floor with a balcony, great views of Folies Bergere. Staff were lovely – super friendly except one guy at breakfast, didn’t seem too impressed when 4 of us came down to eat and ignored us the whole time we were there. Breakfast is not that great and... We booked our stay at the Maxim Folies for five days with the reservation being for a queen room with air conditioning. We got a queen room with an air purifier instead. Nice and inviting hotel. Welcoming entrance and lobby area. All staff was very friendly! Breakfast was also really good. The only downside was our room being the size of a shoebox.. For the price we paid that room was not enough if you ask me. But I guess that's paris?

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
