What a lovely little hotel. Newly renovated, nice and clean. We had 5th floor with a balcony, great views of Folies Bergere. Staff were lovely – super friendly except one guy at breakfast, didn’t seem too impressed when 4 of us came down to eat and ignored us the whole time we were there. Breakfast is not that great and... Hotel, is modern and trendy. Hard to find from directions, but it is opposite the Best Western Opera. Reception where good, but the girl that worked during the day *not sure of her name* was amazing. Rooms where good, wifi ok, Loved the location, 5 mins to metro, Mini supermarket nearby.

We booked our stay at the Maxim Folies for five days with the reservation being for a queen room with air conditioning. We got a queen room with an air purifier instead. The Maxim Folies is a very cool boutique hotel but needs to give the client what they are advertising. The staff was super awesome and the hotel owner... More

Nice and inviting hotel. Welcoming entrance and lobby area. All staff was very friendly! Breakfast was also really good. The only downside was our room being the size of a shoebox.. For the price we paid that room was not enough if you ask me. But I guess that's paris?

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night on Friday for my birthday. We arrived earlier than check in time, around midday. We were greeted pleasantly by people who spoke fluent english. One guy even made a joke with us about being mr and mrs smith from the movie and not to ruin the hotel haha! We then put... More

Staff very friendly, speaking good English, beds comfortable. Room was small for two person, quite dark at the back of the hotel on the 3th floor and window facing the gorge. Breakfast was very good and all service excellent.

The bathroom was not cleaned well, the window looked to the inside yard, there was a wall of the neighbor building in two meters. The hotel itself is situated on a small street, which is not always indicated on the maps, so it took time to find it going from Gard de Nord

Dear Елена, Many thanks for taking the time to review our hotel. We hope that you enjoyed your stay despite small inconveniences and we apologize for the bathroom; we will be more attentive in the future. Indeed our rooms on street side have a best view but our rooms on court side have the advantage to be really quiet. Our... More

The location is very good, 20 min from Louvre, 10 min form Printemps etc, 15 min to Monmartre, 15 min to the Canal St Martin. The hotel is trendy and the first impression is very nice. The room is tiny (although we were expecting it) but somewhat uncomfortable: the stylish clothing hangers are unhandy and useless. The sink is just... More

Dear Karina l, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are happy that you were satisfied with our location. Indeed we are very close to Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, also the Louvre museum, Montmartre and the Canal St Martin… It’s a pity that you didn’t appreciate our room design. Actually the sink part is separated from the shower, as... More

Because I visited Paris for business reasons, price and location were important and this hotel was still available while most others were not. It's a small place, but strangely enough very close to the Folies Bergères. That didn't cause any discomfort but that place does attract lots of people (and often well worth the watch :)) Several friends stayed in... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
