The Hotel Joyce is very close to being the tidy little 3-star hotel of one's dreams - almost all of the great things earlier reviewers have said about it seemed very true for us as well, not least because of a very pleasant surprise upgrade to the sixth-floor suite, which features lovely views across the rooftops of Paris, a separate... I have visited Paris on a number of occasions over the last 5 years with my partner, previous visits have always been a disappointment mainly due the hotel not being right, this time it was perfect, modern, clean tidy hotel, excellent reception(Coleen was exceptional) and waiting staff(philipe) would definitely go back

The main hall of this hotel is gorgeous. The design is modern and stylish, with a glass roof/wall in the breakfast hall that has an indoor/outdoor feel. In short, cool interior design. I slept comfortably and appreciated the organic bath soaps, but my husband found the room cheapky decorated and woke up with a back ache. There was a flat... More

It's walking distance from Gare du Nord - perfect for Eurostar. Much nicer area than I had previously thought. I was travelling with my 12 year old son. Extremely friendly staff. Cool and quirky design throughout. Great lobby/eating area - where my son loved the disused car seats, complete with seat-belts - with bonus of free refreshments throughout the day.... More

Four of us (all female) spent two nights at the Joyce from June 4th to June 6th.. We had planned to stay for three nights but had to cut our trip short becuse of the threat of the Aerlingus strike. We loved the hotel from the moment we stepped inside the door. Like a lot of the other reviews the... More

We have spent 4 nights at Joyce hotel in May 2011 and everything was just lovely, room is confortable and nice, every day cleaning services, a bit small but this is usual for Paris. Breakfast is good and simple, all day you have access free of charge to snacks, coffee, tea, water and juice. Staff is very friendly, always available... More

The staff was very friendly, helpfull. We arrived early in the morning and could leave our lugguage until check-in in the afternoon, even they proposed us a coffee. Each (2) room was different and very nice and quiet. We had room 507 and was on the backside from the hotel (rooms .04 and 0.7 are a litte bit greater, rooms... More

Having stayed in many hotels all over the world I would say it rates as one of the best. It has fantastic decor and is spot on for cleanliness. The staff are extremely friendly and very helfpul with giving information about local events and places of interest. Location is great as it is in very close distance of a metro... More

All staff (who worked at front and cleaning room and more)are so kindly, and helpful. The design of all part of this hotel was modern and very very clean. I feel it's the"Paris"style. But bed spring is too soft for me. In the night, I was necessary to listen to the music to the room next to mine, because the wall... More

Great service, one of the best breakfast, I had in french hotels... Decoration was very simple but thoughtful. Although the rooms were a bit small, Ipod/iphone docks in rooms:) great... Staff was always very helpful... Definitely recommend... Location might be a problem for some of you. But if you use metro, no problem... St.Georges stop is only 300-400mt away from... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
