In part I wish I could give a 2 part rating, because the ONLY nice thing about this hotel was its amazing roof top bar. That's it. But unfortunately, on this trip, the bad really outweighed the good. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a man at the check in counter, he was the rudest man I had ever met.... More

I've stayed in many parts of Paris (Opera, Bastille, Arc de Triomphe, etc.) and this is by far my favorite area. It's not that the others are bad but this area is great. It's very central (Seine, Notre Dame, Louvre, RER-B to CDG, several metro stops, minimarts, etc.) and very lively, with romantic curvy streets, a wide variety of restaurants,... More

I've stayed here multiple times. It's location is perfect - close access to the ST Michel Metro stop and the RER airport route. The rooms are small but some have an Eiffel Tower view. The rooftop bar is wonderful. I will be back. The only downside is the price but you pay to be in such a location unfortunately.

My fiancée and I for the most part enjoyed our stay. The room was decent for a short stay. The rooftop lounge was wonderful. The views were outstanding. Almost all of the staff were helpful and friendly and I would have rated the hotel higher if not for one of the receptionist. We started calling her pretentious Praticia. A very... More

This is my go to place to stay when I'm in Paris. It is located in a beautiful and convenient area. The staff are all great and very helpful. Especially Andrew K. the Barman, who went above and beyond the call of duty to help us get our boarding passes printed for our next flight. It's people like him that... More

We booked 2 rooms at Holiday Inn Notre Dame for our 3 night-stay in Paris and were not disappointed. The location of the hotel is fantastic, with perfect connection to CDG airport via RER B. All major tourist attractions are easily accessible by foot, metro or tourist ship (we used Batobus). We were welcomed by very friendly staff and got... More

I have never been to a hotel where the staff is so incredibly rude. It was my first time going to Paris and I was so excited to be staying in the city where I was so close to everything. My father got an upgraded room because of his status so it was even more exciting. I walked in after... More

The hotel is located in the Latin Quarter (5th arrondissement) within a minute's walk to the Saint Michel metro station and a 5 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was small though clean and well appointed. The window in the shower looking into the room was different. Cafes and restaurants line the... More

We stayed here last summer on points (free anniversary night from IHG credit card) and loved the hotel. It is quirky, small, and in a fabulous location. As soon as I knew we were returning to Paris I booked 2 of our free anniversary nights here (great redemption value given the price). We arrived from the airport around 11 AM.... More

If you are coming into Paris to see the site its a great location for the price 5 min walk to Notre Dame Cathederal. Plenty of dining options out the front door and close to multiple metro lines to get you everywhere sans a taxi. The rooms are small and dated very cozy for two fols. Strange bathroom design that... Dear Biztravr, Thank you for staying at our hotel and taking time to post a review about your stay. It was kind of you to mention that you liked our location. On the other hand, it is regrettable that the layout of our rooms were not able to live up to your expectations. We value all your feedback, whether negative... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
