My son and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The location was prefect for us. Easy walking distance to the Seine river but away from the tourists. The area was calm and with restaurants, cafes, fruit stands, and pastry shops. It was near the catacombs, the cemetery, and Montparnasse tower. The staff was friendly, cheerful, kind, and gave... It's Paris so rooms are tiny, but these guys push it a bit. If you're a tall guy like me the toilet does not have enough room for us. Staff is extremely friendly and goes the extra mile, soundproofing like all of old buildings in Paris leaves much to be desired. Great for a solo business traveller or someone on... More

The hotel is for 2 stars only suprisingly cheap, clean and very well equipped. The staff is super charming and very helpful. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and very charming. Breakfast is for Parisian standards pretty much amazing: different kinds of coffees, fresh croissants and baguettes, lots of jams, honey and nutella, eggs on demand, ham and cheese, yogurt and... As per previous reviews, the rooms are on the small-ish side and the staircase is narrow, but the location is perfect for the Metro and Montparnasse nightlife and the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel does a good 12 euro breakfast and there are also cafés and bakeries nearby if you'd rather grab a coffee and a croissant... More

The hotel was a great find. The hotel is charming and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a local area with cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. The Metro lines Pernety and Plaisance are round the corner from the hotel, which makes travelling around Paris very convinient. The bedrooms are on the small side - but are... More

I stayed one night before a scientific meeting nearby. The hotel is small and charming in a quiet street. in a local area of Paris. My room was small, but looked nice and clean. The bed and the shower were both very good. Stairs and the lift are narrow. The internet worked well. The breakfast room had no free tables when... More

What a charming little hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was small but quaint. The WC was very clean and comfortable. Did not take in the breakfast, but I expect it would have been delicious (no such thing as a bad meal in Paris!). The stairs are challenging (we were on the top floor) but the... More

A very nice small Hotel. Before going there we had some doubts about 2 stars hotel, especially the cleaness, but it was absolutely superb. . We spent a weekned there, enjoyed a very good location, clean room and a very nice breakfast. It's true, the rooms are Quite small, as well as the stairs, but we could easily forget it... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
