Friendly reception, clean and orderly hotel and rooms, good wifi, what more do you want? The breakfast was very nice too, but if you are on a small budget they even provide you with 24/7 free hot beverages and fruits. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood with restaurants and a metro station very nearby.

Very nice little hotel. My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Le Maison de Montparnasse. It's very affordable. Our room and its bathroom were quite small but clean, comfortable and modern. The beds are really comfy with two fluffy pillows per person. The decor of the entire hotel is bright, whimsical and charming. The breakfast area was tended... More

We are not hotel divas. If you are, this hotel might not be for you. The room is small. It has a bed, a small desk / table, a chair, nightstands and a tv. Oh, and somewhere to hang an item of clothing or two. The bathroom is obviously quite small. The bed was obscenely comfortable. The staff was amazing.... More

Was a bit sceptic when I arrived but after some days i realised that this was perfect. The room was small but we used the nice outdoor backgarden a lot so it did not matter. The staff was very friendly and really made this a wonderful stay. The breakfast buffet was also very good and worth the extra euros. Location... More

Going by train to the South-West of France, I chose this hotel because it is walking distance to Gare Montparnasse (15 min walk) and the reviews were great. Maybe I shouldn't have read them. There is no reason to consider staying there unless you are going to or from Montparnasse. I know there are many worst places to stay in... More

Very friendly place let down only by tiny loo set in a cupboard too small for actually sitting with door closed! Small rooms expected in this price range but decor above average. Breakfast outside in pretty courtyard delightful and good choice of juices, jams, coffees and yoghurts etc. Would certainly stay here again. Room stayed cool on a very hot... More

We came on the Metro from Charles-De-Gaulle Airport and travelled directly by Metro to Pernety on line 13. It was no more than a 5 minute stroll from the station to the hotel. If you are looking for a modern international style hotel, this is not for you, but if you want a typical Parisian hotel with a modern twist... More

Clean hotel in a quiet location. Beware -no air conditioning or screens in windows and you will have to carry your luggage up or down a half flight since the elevator stops between floors. A luggage wrack or two would do wonders in the room. Location is far from the main points of Paris, but if you don't mind walking... More

Small but perfectly appointed hotel in Montparnasse, Paris, near the Tour Montparnassse. Several interesting places to visit nearby and plenty of good places to eat. Large street market on Sundays. Staff helpful and friendly. Very clean and good value for money. Nice little courtyard at the back of the hotel where you can eat a takeaway or have a drink.... More

I've been to Paris several times, but I've never stayed in the area around Gare Montparnasse. I'm not sure I ever need to stay in that area again - I did primarily because on this last trip to France Paris was merely a jumping off point - I flew in to Paris from the US, and trained out from Montparnasse... Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
