Detailed Reviews
Great little Hotel
Rooms surprisingly modern and comfortable, Bathroom up to date and fine
Only 50yds from Champs Elysee and Parking though accessed by a circuitous route had pedestrian exit on same street almost opposite Hotel.
Did not spend much time in room as lots of other distractions so close nearby
Bed was really comfortable and slept well
Breakfast was 18€ which is about normal for Paris but there is a great little boulangerie two doors down where you can get coffee and a Croissant for 4€
After all the excesses of eating in Paris we found this to be enough and could not do a full breakfast justice

There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel. We were in Paris for 2 nights so the Discovery Room was great for our short stay, which was cosy but big enough for a couple, with a comfy king size bed and nice bathroom with shower. The décor was modern and colourful throughout the hotel which gave it a fancy feel! The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
The location is ideal. You walk out 100m and you're at Champs Elysees, turn right and you can see the Arc de Triomphe which is a few minutes away on foot. There are great little cafes and restaurants in the area (La Casita right next door is amazing!) so we never had to branch far to eat. There is George V metro station with the M1 line which goes to the Louvre and other key spots. Its about 25 mins from Gare du Nord train station for the Eurostar.
We are very happy we chose Cristal for our trip to Paris and found it great value for money!

We stay there for two days, and it was lovely. Very central, safe and clean. The staff were very nice and always with a smile.
I loved the small room that we stay, very cozy, very quite and very clean.
The bed and pillows were great and confortable, the bathroom big enough and with two lovely small wondows, and a window in the ceiling.
For the location, price and service, I want to stay there again.
Thank you.

The hotel in the center of the city .. But the receptionist was very very bad and talk in a very bad attitude .. The lights switched off and they could not fix them.. They don't have extra blankets and there was no water in the room
Pillows were like you sleep on a rock ( very hard)
I don't recommend anyone for this hotel even if the location good

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip as a solo traveller.
The location is fantastic. It is literally a street away from the Champs Elysses, the flag ship Louis Vuitton store and George V metro.
There are many nice restaurants’, cafes and bars near to the hotel and the area is extremely safe to walk around at night (from a solo female traveller perspective). The hotel is small, modern and quirky. I particularly liked the art and the minimalist style of décor and furniture.
Pro’s & con’s …….
Pro’s
• Location – perfect for sightseeing, public transport, restaurants etc.
• Staff – they spoke perfect English and were polite and helpful.
• The room – the room was a normal size by Paris standards, spotlessly clean and had an amazing bed .I had a wonderful sleep and the room was exceptionally quiet.
• The free wi fi worked perfectly
• The décor of the hotel – I really liked the style
Con’s
• The only con for me was the price. I stay in Paris most weeks and the room rate was around €50 too much per night in my view.
I would stay in this hotel again, but only if I could secure a more reasonable room rate.

My husband and I stayed here and loved it. Less than a block away from the Champs Elysees and shopping, 5-10 minute walk to the Arc de Triumph, 20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, 30 minute walk to the Louve. The room was clean, comfortable, safe and pretty. We had a courtyard facing room and it was very quiet. The hotel is doors away from a great French bakery as well that we adore. It also has a small bar and breakfast area. We recommend using the L'Open Tour hop-on/off bus that stops very close to the hotel and has around 50ish stops. That made touring everything and getting back to our hotel super easy.

I was in Paris for a work trip, and my husband joined me on the weekend for some fun time (on our dime). We booked the Cristal online. Although it isn't cheap, considering its location (very close to the Champs Elysees) and the fact that there's free wifi, you can't beat that! The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. We'd probably stay there again if we wanted to be in that area of town.

We stayed here on our second trip to Paris for our wedding... Our room was a descent size and we found the staff very helpful and friendly... We arrived first thing in the morning 7:30am when we were not due to check in until 2pm. This was not a problem for the man at at the front desk and we were shown to our room straight away.
The free wifi is great and the breakfast was really good but just a little overpriced. Has everything you need though. Really good location close to all the sights and the metro for getting around. Would recommend this hotel to a first timer to Paris for the location. Very Nice...

My wife and I stayed here on the second portion of our Paris trip for 7 nights. It has a very modern feel with the paint job in the room being done to resemble crystals and a broken mirror designed to be crystal like. It isn't the best look, it's kind of goofy, but the room was clean and decent sized for Europe (small for American). The bed was sort of comfortable. It only had a comforter and no sheet, I don't really like that style, otherwise it was comfortable enough. The internet was frustrating. It wasn't that fast and in their quest for uber-security they only let one password work for one device, so when I used my iphone that code no longer worked for my laptop, ever. The location to us was less than desirable, but I would think others may really like it. It is right off the Champs de Elysees. This is a high traffic, super touristy area. I mean really touristy. We stayed on Saint Louis L'ile before this and we liked that quiet, less crowded feel much more, both are equally easy to get to transportation and sights. The thing that really burned me about this place was the breakfast. When we checked in they told us breakfast is included with your room and downstairs. So we had breakfast, it's a pretty simple affair, pastries, lunchmeats, cereal, coffee, fruit and soft boiled eggs. Basically a free continental breakfast at many hotels. Upon checkout they charged us 17 euro each, per day for the breakfast! When I explained they told us it was included they simply shrugged. I think they use this tactic to goose the room rate. It seemed very unethical to me and I cannot recommend a place that behaves like that. If the breakfast was extravigant and had bacon, champagne, foie gras, etc, I would have been cool and understood, but for what you got I just really felt ripped off. We were much happier in our other hotel, the Hotel Des Deux Iles.

Hotel Cristal Champs Elysees cannot be beat given its location near Paris' most important boulevard and the hotel's affordable room rates! Really enjoyed staying there and will definitely return in the near future!! George Washington would have loved it too !!!
