Our room had a broken bed, and very small. Noisey and basic. Good location, if your a film buff French kiss was filmed in this area. Personally I wouldn't stay in this hotel again, not a family hotel.

We enjoyed the environment in the Montmarte area, and were within walking distance of Sacre Coeur. The elevator was a tight squeeze for 2 people, and the room was tight as well. You have to step up to the shower, which resulted in my landing flat on my back on the tile floor. Wasn't hurt - just winded. Room was... More

It has a great location near the metro, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge and the red light district (at the bottom of the hill on the main street if you're wondering, you can't miss the neon signs!) The room was quite small with no aircon. There was fan/heater on the wall but it didn't work. The room and shower were very... More

The good - price - close to subway - clean room - friendly & helpful staff The bad - small room - our room had "broken" toilet - it worked but you had to undepress flusher - we could not close shut window - so was a bit noisy - near a bar so noisy - breakfast is basic buffet... More

We stayed here for my birthday trip in March, and I can't fault it. The reception staff were helpful and polite, the location cannot be faulted, there are lots of nice little cafes and eateries around it. The bed was quite comfortable and it was pretty basic, however it was cheap and just a base for us exploring Paris. I... More

We stayed here at the end of January for a mid week break. Its in a fab location for Sacre Coeur which is about a ten minute (uphill) walk away and literally a few minutes from the nearest Metro Station. Around 6-7 stops into central Paris. We didnt have the breakfast but there are plenty of cafes and bars around... More

Stayed here in mid 2011. Great location for the Artists precinct, so close to Moulin Rouge, Pigalle, Sacre Coure. The Metro just two block (3 minutes walk) away. Room was small, but seems standard for the location and that it is in Europe. I was on the street side, French windows opening out to the street, typical French street view.... More

Have no fear! This place is great : ) We stayed for four nights in early October 2013. After I had initially made the reservation, a check of the reviews on this site gave me a bit of a fright. But have no fear; this place is great. We loved the room- it was tidy and uncluttered, and contrary to... More

Positives: - you are 5mins walk from the Sacre Coeur -basic room, what you need in Paris given you are not there to sit inside a hotel. - noise cancelling windows - so quiet - great transport links - easy to get to stade de France from gare du nord (10min walk, 5min train) Negatives: - relatively rude staff, not... Our trip to Paris was Thursday 18th July for 3days. I have been to Paris numerous occasions, this is the 2nd time I travelled for pleasure. On arrival at the hotel expecting it to be in a dodgy area, we were pleasantly surprised to find numerous cafe's on the walk from the metro to the hotel with plenty of people,... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
