The hotel is well located in the Latin Quarter and very comfortable. Our superior room on the top floor was larger than others we have had in this area at this price. We were not bothered by street noise. The room was nicely decorated and had an extraordinarily good shower. A skylight in the bathroom was another nice touch. The... More

We felt like this was a great location, near lots of little shops and good restaurants as well as the Luxembourg metro stop. We were able to walk easily to Notre Dame too. The front desk staff were always cheerful, courteous, and helpful. They helped us get a car service to CDG airport, which was 60 euro. Room was clean,... More

Before we even left England the hotel were very helpful: I had e-mailed asking if they could recommend a restaurant for the evening we arrived as it was my husband's birthday. I had an immediate response with links to 6 different restaurants. I picked the one I liked and Pascal booked our table and also a taxi. The recommendation was... More

Perfect Paris boutique hotel! From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by the cheerful and extremely helpful front desk, to the very clean and well maintained common areas and rooms, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay for four nights. The hotel is well located, albeit, just at the edge of the distance I would want to be... More

I spent four days at this lovely little boutique hotel. They have location, location, location on their side and lovely English speaking staff to complement the location. Located near the University and the Pantheon, Walking distance to Notre Dame Cathedral and Latin Quarter. Easy access to the tube to get to the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Bed was comfy,... More

Great little hotel in downtown Paris - within a walking distance of Quartier Latin and Senate/Luxembourg hot spots - 10 min walk from the nearest metro station still (Line 10, Cluny/Sorbonne as far as I recall). Check-in/out was rapid and easy, smiling and helpful staff, great breakfast, nice little patio and inside lounge to read newspapers or just relax. As... More

Comfortable, nicely furnished rooms. Quiet. Decent breakfast (mostly continental). Would stay here again. Has a small courtyard, lovely when weather permitting. Only negative would be that the rooms are tiny but that is typical for Paris.

The location of this hotel is ideally situated if arriving on the train from Gare Du Nord - only two stops on the train, about a ten minute ride. It is also convenient for all the main tourist attractions either on foot if you like to walk around or by metro/train. Five minutes max walk from the hotel to the... More

This hotel and it's rooms are indeed petit but also clean and charming. It is in the ideal location. It's also close to the pantheon and other attractions that you will want to see while here. A great stay!

Hotel lePetit Paris was a wonderful hotel in Paris! We most loved its location near the Luxembourg RER! The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless, WiFi was great, there was a hairdryer in the closet, and a fabulous shower in the bathroom! The rooms are small but just the right size for two people with only carry... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
