I had high hopes for this place. The welcome was friendly and it seemed I was upgraded to a larger room. The furnishing, the size of the hotel and the tiny lift were all wonderfully Parisien. My room was clean, spacious and quiet. Breakfast had less variety than you would expect from a 4 star hotel but was ample in... More

Ideal location not far from Champs Elysees and central to most of the major tourist attractions. Walking distance to many little eateries. The rooms are tastefully decorated but somewhat small with very old style furniture. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming and breakfast each morning was wonderful experience. The toilet is separate from the bathroom with no water,... More

My family decided to make an overnight visit to Paris during our stay in London in November 2014. We chose Mathis because it is not far from Champs Elysees. We booked three double rooms for 6 of us. I like this hotel because the receptionist was very friendly. The housekeeper was also very friendly. It has a quaint small lift... More

Location, location, location - a side road off the Champs Élysées, it is about halfway between Concord and the Arc d'Triumph. A beautiful old building with balconies and shutters, the old lift is divine, the interior is decorated in a mix of old meets new, and comes together much better than we thought it would when we looked at picture.... We stayed here to celebrate our daughters 18th birthday. We found the whole experience absolutely excellent. Our family suite was fabulous, their were five of us and we had two en suites, and everything was lush. The hotel was located for us to be able to walk to excellent shopping, fantastic bars, restaurants and main attractions. Breakfast was a fantastic... More

Our family of five stayed for 4 nights last week at this hotel. As others have said, it is amazing. Absolutely charming, not at all like any hotel at which we've ever stayed. The location was what brought it to my attention, initially, and it really is amazingly convenient to the Champs Elysees as well as several Metro stations. We... More

This hotel is amazing. Cozy, warm, elegant, very clean, the staff is more than accommodating. The bathrooms are excellent and have top notch amenities. The staff speak perfect English for those who do not speak French. The room has a kettle to make coffee or tea. There is a minibar..and it's not that expensive. I didn't want to leave !... More

Booked this hotel because of the amazing location (next to Champs-Elysees) and special rate. The service is great, staff is friendly, English-speaking and very helpful. The design is astonishing, very unusual and themed. Lovely amenities, kettle in the room for tea minibar, free wifi access. Concerning design, a bit dimmed though, keep in mind for those, who prefers light environment.... More

service was superb...well done! breakfast was enjoyable with french style as expected. the hotel is surely pricey but considering the good service, access to champs élysées its worth paying the price. its not easy to find cheap hotels with mauritius island standards in the city of paris... so dont be fooled.

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
