Location is good. It is a small hotel with a restaurant at the GF. It is operating small scale . Only one person per shift in the front desk. The service is ok. The elevator is very very tiny ( vintage style) . The interiors of the hotel room is very French you really feel that you are in France...... More

We stayed there for 2 nights and must say that the location is just perfect. The hotel staff was lovely and very helpful. The man at the reception was very welcoming and funny. Price very reasonable considering the location. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Will definitely stay there again.

We chose this place because of its close proximity to Champs Elysees and the metro. The rooms were nicely and tastefully done. Not very spacious but not too small either. The best part of the hotel was Leon, the front desk manager and the elevator! Leon was a gentleman and helped us decide what to do in Paris. The elevator... More

I had high hopes for this place. The welcome was friendly and it seemed I was upgraded to a larger room. The furnishing, the size of the hotel and the tiny lift were all wonderfully Parisien. My room was clean, spacious and quiet. Breakfast had less variety than you would expect from a 4 star hotel but was ample in... More

Ideal location not far from Champs Elysees and central to most of the major tourist attractions. Walking distance to many little eateries. The rooms are tastefully decorated but somewhat small with very old style furniture. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming and breakfast each morning was wonderful experience. The toilet is separate from the bathroom with no water,... More

My family decided to make an overnight visit to Paris during our stay in London in November 2014. We chose Mathis because it is not far from Champs Elysees. We booked three double rooms for 6 of us. I like this hotel because the receptionist was very friendly. The housekeeper was also very friendly. It has a quaint small lift... More

Location, location, location - a side road off the Champs Élysées, it is about halfway between Concord and the Arc d'Triumph. A beautiful old building with balconies and shutters, the old lift is divine, the interior is decorated in a mix of old meets new, and comes together much better than we thought it would when we looked at picture.... We stayed here to celebrate our daughters 18th birthday. We found the whole experience absolutely excellent. Our family suite was fabulous, their were five of us and we had two en suites, and everything was lush. The hotel was located for us to be able to walk to excellent shopping, fantastic bars, restaurants and main attractions. Breakfast was a fantastic... More

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
