visited Paris twice in 2months,1st visit was 4 times the cost and no better. This is a really lovely little hotel and actually quite peaceful. It is well-placed in the city. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. Very quaint.. space is tight but as was the expensive hotel previously. Wanted to stay on but they were fully... More

We stayed in this hotel over Christmas 2014 for 5 nights, and had a fantastic stay. We arrived late in the evening (11pm) at the hotel, and although a bit hard to find in the dark, it was a well lit area. The front desk was open 24 hours which was very helpful throughout our trip, and the staff were... More

This was the perfect place to stay for a one night stay in Paris. Our room , although small, had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We walked everywhere from here and it was ideal - lovely restaurants and shops almost on the doorstep. We would stay here again without reservation.

The hotel was clean and in a great location but the room was small and in need of some major TLC - the kettle lid fell off when we poured the boiling water into cups ( we did report it but nothing happened, I am not sure they understood our complaint), the TV was a bit temperamental, the skirting boards... First things first: yes, the rooms are very small. And by "very small" I mean "VERY small". It was enough to hang the suits, the shirts and have the luggage against a wall behind the door. That was enough for me since I was in a business trip. For the price I could not find any hotel in Le Marais... More

Positive notes: reception personnel is very kind. End of positive notes. You will be given a microscopic room, fit for 1.5 person and 1.5 luggage. You'll be forced to reach your room through a microscopic lift, fit for no more than 1.5 person too. Luggage will require more travels. Rooms have no air conditioned, nor any kind of ventilation. Oxygen... More

We've stayed in this same hotel on both our visits to Paris, and certainly will not hesitate to fook it again when we go back! The location in Montmartre is a wonderful place to be...just down the hill from Sacre'-Coeur and all the arts, shops etc...and being in the middle of the outdoor dining made for a great atmosphere. Price... More

We stayed for a week in August 2014 in a lovely little room at the top of the hotel, overlooking the roof tops of Marais. The room and en suite were small but perfectly suited our needs. The location was fantastic with some great local restaurants nearby, including one opposite. A short walk to the Seine and the centre of... More

Happy to report a lovely stay. The staff were wonderful, the room was clean and quiet and the neighborhood delightful. Don't know how people can complain about the tiny lift - so what. We loved our stay.

The rooms and bathrooms in this hotel are tiny, which we expected, but fine for a weekend in Paris as we were out and about all day. It was very clean and in a really excellent location, which were the most important things for us. The staff were helpful, the only downside was being woken up by a fire alarm... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
