I was attracted to this hotel because of its very convenient location and the reasonable price. The hotel turned out to be challenging because of the lack of air conditioning. I could not sleep due to the heat and sweat. They provided a fan, but that did not help much. The noise from outside is so high, so opening the... More

I loved it. Here is why: perfect size hotel for me as I dont like long coridors, well located in a dynamic neighborhood with all kind of restaurants and shops as well as businesses. At last but not the least the service is good, wifi and coffee all the time and the personnel is friendly.

Most IBIS i've stayed in are great. At the moment it is a 'canicule' in Paris with temperatures in the high 30s and very humid. The room had an air conditioning control which wasn't working and an electric fan instead. That along with scaffolding outside the bedroom window meant zero sleep. When I mentioned it, I was told with a... More

We checked in when we were told that the hotel has no airconditioning. In 40 degree temperature how can one stay without airconditioning? But the reception was very helpful to move us to a Mercure hotel nearby.

Nice room, excellent bathroom. Good location and wifi at room and the good things finishes here. Staff is so-so, breakfast average but breakfast room not very clean. Air conditioned control stuck and not working properly. When we arrived at 17:00 our room was not ready yet and we had to wait for more than 20 minutes until the maids finished... More

I have stayed in many hotels but have never before felt the need to leave a review to warn others off. I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for a business trip. I have stayed in many Ibis hotels within Europe and generally found the standard pretty good. This hotel was very different. I was given room 30, which... More

Booked in for two nights and for such an expensive rate (250 EUR) per night there was little in the way of service. Very small room but comfy bed and modern bathroom. Breakfast was appalling and there were no in-room refreshments, although there was tea/coffee in the lobby. Location of hotel was excellent but beware noisy locals and the smell... More

When we arrived at the hotel there was no one at reception, then a guy came in from the street and could not find our booking. After a while he eventually found something and gave us our room key. To say we were not impressed with the reception was one thing but when we opened the door and saw our... More

Staff very helpful and accommodating to all our requests. Location is also good since it is near metro and train stations. Will definitely consider staying here again and will even recommend this hotel.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
