We stayed at 24, rue Xavier Privas at Xmas 2014, at the heart of Quartier Latin. The apartment is small but very functional. It has everything you may need. The bathroom and the kitchen are new, since the building is really very old, but it has its own character. We are a family with an adult and it was is... More

My mother, my two daughters, 11 and 7, and I spent a week in Paris the first week of October 2014. We could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. There was much more space than we would have had in a hotel room. And the apartment is full of character. The location is right in the heart of... More

Having read the below review for the 2 guest apartment (not the 4 guest apartment) Studio Xavier Privas, it was with a degree of trepidation that we arrived in Paris. However how wrong could we have been. If you want to feel like you are staying in Paris rather than some generic hotel - which could be anywhere - this... More

Should have been aware of upcoming disappointments when Claude advised in most recent email (after we were already in France) - 'Latin Quarter - as they say in Latin if something is going to go wrong - it will" and because it is budget - we do not refund. We stayed in the studio apartment - for 2 guests not... More

Stayed in the Rue Xavier Privas apartment for a week 2 adults and 2 kids in middle of June 2014. Location was great. We walked to several sights from here and of course Saint Michel metro & station is right next door. There is restaurants all over. There are couple of grocery stores within a a few steps from the... Stayed here recently with the family and was pleased with the stay. The location is perfect and very close to metro/ RER stations. Restaurants are aplenty. It's walking distance to several attractions. It can be a bit noisy at night. Some reviews say it's because of the restaurants but I found the only time it got truly noisy was a... More

This is a small flat right in the heart of the 5th arrondissement, bustling with life,. and packed with restaurants just a stone's throw from the Seine River and the Notre Dame. Location is its biggest trump: only a couple of minutes from: underground/metro, mini-supermarket, pharmacy, millions of restaurants, shops, and cafes. The fact that the underground is only steps... We stayed for a week in this apartment (3 adults, 1 child). The apartment was very comfortable and a good size for the 4 of us. It was well appointed with washer/dryer, cooking facilities and cable TV. Beds (including the sofa bed) were comfortable and there was an extra lounge seat in the cupboards. Lots of good storage space to... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
