The positive aspects of this facility are that it is reasonable in price for what one gets, it is kept extremely clean, and it is convenient to public transportation. In addition, most reception desk employees are well informed and helpful. The negative side, at least in the summer, is that large groups of students--some high school age and some younger--who... I could tell as the bus pulled in! We are not the demographic! And one visit proved this point! Paris FIAP Jean Monnet has a reputation as an inexpensive school group hostel/hotel. Paris FIAP Jean Monnet is located just south of the Luxembourg Gardens and near Montparnasse. Paris FIAP Jean Monnet is opposite the Centre Hospitalier Sainte Anne (hospital) in... More

I only stayed one night and it is significant metro ride away from the main tourist attractions; however, I enjoyed the neighborhood and the line 6 runs above ground most of the ride, so you get to see the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, everything was clean and breakfast was a typical European continental breakfast (pastries, bread, jellies,... More

We have just returned from this hotel with a group of Year 7 pupils. It is very conveniently located near Glacière on Line 6 making getting around Paris very easy. Rooms were a good size and comfortable though very long and narrow in the double rooms. The food was a good standard with a fair amount of choice. We had... More

This hotel looks very modern and it has many facilities, such as the ping pong table (that you have to be quick to get to!) and the discos (there was one on Valentine's Day). Look out for the piano in the basement as well! The rooms were of a good standard, with lots of space and around of 10 of... More

I did two very intensive weeks at Paris Langues (in the basement of FIAP) and I enjoyed it a lot. I had a lot of classes and tried several teachers and while some were great, others were so-so (can't remember all names, unfortunately), so that's why I have to take one point away. The other point I have to take... More

Thank you for having attended our French courses in Paris Langues, in Paris. The school is located in the premises of the International Residence FIAP Jean Monnet where students benefit from advantages of the place: high quality accommodation, self-service restaurant, lounge area, terrace, cafeteria, Wi-Fi, organization of cultural activities (art exhibition, concerts, etc.). The school is located at the basement... More

Has been refurbished recently. The rooms are excellent easily worth a 3 star hotel. Bar is great staff really organised and check in smooth and trouble free. Parking for coaches is round the corner on the main road. Very good quality hotel and this is the 2nd trip we will be back next year

I stayed here for four nights, we were on floor 3 and the room was pretty nice! 2 single beds and a bunk. Food is not good at all, had just chips for dinner most nights... The door to the toilet did not lock and there was a large hole so you could see in from each side, this was... More

Rooms nice and clean. Two students per room so noise is kept to a minimum although some staff liked to go to bed before their kids and leave it to us to tell them to get into their rooms at 11.30! Staff friendly and good to have manager speak to the students about their expectations with one member patrolling late... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
