Real Surprise! We didn't have the greatest expectations, as we booked it on Avios on the BA website. But it is a beautiful hotel. It has a kind of African theme, and has art exhibitions around the floors. The rooms are the usual size you would expect from a Parisian hotel, but are really well decorated. Ours had a separate... Friendly, modern, clean and good breakfast with B&B package. Stayed in a single room which bit small but ok for one person. I walked to the hotel from Eurostar station, approx 20 min and literally down the road. Very close to major shopping malls, Metro and also attractions north of the river!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is great. The rooms are beautiful. I hope I have the pleasure of staying at Hotel Banke again. Would highly recomend this to anyone visiting Paris.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. We asked for a room with a view for our anniversary and not only did we get that but we also got a complimentary upgrade and bottle of Cava. Before we arrived I emailed the hotel for some recommendations on various things and the staff were extremely helpful and lovely. The hotel... More

This elegant hotel just three stops or 20 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord and five minutes away from the Galeries Lafayette and the Opera Garnier is a former bank, as the name suggests. The grand architecture of the building's former incarnation is used to great effect with a dramatic lobby and bar. The staff were very friendly -... More

An exceptional stay, helpful and friendly staff from the moment my cab arrived outside the front doors of the hotel. The location was situated close to my business meetings, but the Galleries Lafayette provided a place for food, relaxation and replacing a pen left on the Eurostar earlier in the day. By Paris standards, my room was extra large and... More

This is a very nice hotel just near lafayette galleries. So if you are in paris for shopping it is really good. But if you want to see places and monuments I believe the other side of seine river is much more convenient. The rooms are spacious (which is a rare thing in Paris). Internet connection in rooms are free... More

As with other reviews - we found the staff are a stand out here! The entrance is fantastic and our room was pretty funky albeit small. We got this place as the Mystery Hotel with Wotif and paid $240AUD. A good deal I think :) I'm not sure it's a 5 star hotel with it's current capacity, but for us... More

We stayed at this hotel firstly back in May. When we arrived we were kindly greeted by a doorman who was very welcoming. During our stay we enjoyed the hotel so much that we decided to stay at the Banke hotel for a second time in July. The service is consistent and of very good quality. The doormen at the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
