A charming boutique like hotel on the right bank of Paris. Unfortunately my original room I checked into didn't have the room safe working. Moved into a loft like room which then didn't have the heating working in the middle of Winter on my first night stay. There was also no light in the shower area of the bathroom, which... More

This old bank palace has now been turned into a neo-baroque hotel. Every floor has an exhibition of tribal jewellery to add to this odd charm. It has a feel of cool luxury, and the staff is attentive, great and almost omni-present. You get chocolate on you pillow every night and also a card with next day's weather forcast. Plus... More

Hotel Banke was great! it is a pretty hip hotel, with great service, and is located in a very convenient area in Paris, at the south end of the 9th arr. I was there for business, and the amenities were perfect, 24/7 food, very nice staff, and a comfortable room/bed. The lounge/bar off the lobby was a good scene as... More

When I reached the Gare du Nord after a fairly uneventful journey from St. Pancras International, I called the hotel to ask a simple question: is it easy to reach by Metro or should I take a cab? I didn’t want to hail a taxi so when I was told to take line four and change to line seven when... More

Very grand hotel. Rooms are not huge but our twin room had plenty of space and a separate toilet from the shower room which was handy. Comfortable beds and everything in the room felt very good quality. Lots of toiletries provided. Room overlooked the main boulevard but was not noisy. Just down the road was Galeries Lafayette, Opera and two... More

Very important. The standard room is very very very small. The first one I was shown had just enough room to walk around the bed and nothing more. That was okay, but also the room had no closet. Just a sort of short vertical space that would not fit most hung garments. I can live with small rooms but this... More

We had a lovely, whirlwind two-night weekend break staying here at the fantastically-located Hotel Banke. Just yards away from L'opera, you can walk to many attractions but it also a good place to get around the city by metro. It's on the doorstep of Galeries Lafayette too, so if you're in Paris for shopping, look no further than here. All... More

Great, Nice entrance and lobby. Nice rooms and well furnished. Nice Staff. Quiet. Centrally located in Paris. Devil is in details... just to be picky: - a better light in the room closet (intensity) - not much to add. Enjoy your stay!!!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
