It was a very bad decision to book this hotel. Even though we reached this place very early, the only rooms they would give us was on the sixth floor(the top). Now this might not be an issue unless you consider NO ELEVATORS. yup no elevators at this place. The guy at the reception at night was also very rude...

The reviews of this hotel in general are right but I never thought it could be this bad. It is right over a very loud and neon sex shop with some unpleasant characters lurking about. I would NOT reccommend this for anyone sensitive or women travelling alone it is far too intimidating as the entrance is down a dark side...

We spent three nights in this hotel. The staffs were okay. The rooms were small but the bed was clean. The bathroom was very small, we burley were able to shower.
Note: there is no elevator in the hotel.
The breakfast was very basic with limited options, but that what you get for 5 euros.
Location is great.

Crappy old hotel! cracked floor, closet falling apart, damp unsavoury smell in bathroom, noisy. Only positive point was the clean and comfortable bed. Much better alternative (cheaper even) is two doors further, Hotel Little Regina.
For people in their 20s just looking for a reasonably priced room in Paris, Hotel d'Alsace was exactly what we needed. I expected the worst, but the hotel was very close to the train station from the airport and the rooms were clean. The bathroom was SO clean. I was so happy and the water pressure was great in the...

I made the mistake of taking my husband to a suprise vacation for his birthday to this hotel. It is extremely dirty and uncomfortable. They have made a huge effort to give you as less as possible for the money you pay. Very scruffy and dirty blankets, tiny leaking shower, no cupboard but a standing shelf kind of a thing...

we booked three nights, thinking how bad could it be? and it was bad. terrible. we stayed one night before running for our lives. the hotel is in a very sketchy area and as 3 young women we did not feel safe walking there at night. it´s next door to a big sex shop with neon lights that flash outside...

Although it's very very basic, the hotel is clean and the bedlinen fresh. We were only in the room from midnight to 8 am and the bed was comfortable. The shower head was broken (room 315) however it wasn't impossible to have a shower.
Don't bother with 5 euros for breakfast it's a waste of time. Better off going to...

first of all - good location, being on top of a metro station (Gare de l´Est) which has
3 different metro lines. it gets 4 out of 5 for location only because there are nicer quarters to stay in while in paris.
would recommend for travelers on budget.
i added 2 tips at the end of the review.
