The hostel is fantastic. I booked a single room and I was really happy with that. Nice breakfast, internet, shower inside the room. The team of people who works at hostel is really really good. P.S.: Everybody speaks in english :)

Stayed here in a private room for 3 nights. Private rooms are on the top floor so no noise which was nice. Great location, tons of bars around and close to 3 metros. Decently clean, bring flip flops for the shower as it was a bit scummy. No towels. Also they say when booking that most private rooms have a... More

I have stayed at numerous hostels throughout europe and I have generally had positive experiences. I wound up staying here because it seemed like good value for the money. the place is disgusting. the shower overflows everytime anyone used it. the toilet is in the hall and creepy. they don't give you your keys unless you show them your reciept... Booked a private room for 5 nights. Bed is an incredibly uncomfortable cheap spring bed, the room doesn't have a towel or proper sheets, for some reason the shower is in the same tiny room as the bed, the curtain doesn't cover the whole window. The hostel doesn't have a kitchen or a laundry. If I had the money I... More

I travelled Europe alone for a few weeks this summer. In Paris I was looking for an exciting time, good nightlife and young people to party with. Bastille Hostel did not disappoint. Right Next to lively entertainment, great food nearby and generally an awesome, younger crowd and oddly, tons of beautiful women. Its not luxury, its pretty dirty and its... More

My partner and I stayed here and will not be staying again. Whilst it's in a good location and is cheap don't let that sway you. We booked a private room and it was bunk beds!! So we had a giggle at this and decided to just pull the mattresses down on the floor. This is when we discovered one... More

Pros: * Location (proximity to must-see destinations) * Cleanliness * Affordable (but you get what you pay for) Cons: * Wifi is not available from 8am - Noon * Getting kicked out from 11am - 3pm (I couldn't even go back inside my room to get a jacket) * It's on a very busy street with lots of noise (not... Stayed in the hostel for a week, and the only positives were a couple of staff members, not all, and the location. The room key reader on my door stopped working; I understand those things happen. But, the desk associate told me to leave my door unlocked. He didn't want to leave the floor to unlock my door; he was... More

My sister and I stayed at Bastille Hostel during our 4 day trip in Paris in February. All we were looking for was a place to crash at night and leave our bags and this did the job just fine. Friendly service, very clean, and in an area of Paris full of shops and restaurants. It's about a 15 minute... More

Staying in Bercy / Nation

Neighborhood Profile
Bercy / Nation
Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to this calming neighborhood where real Parisians make their homes.
