I've arrived on Friday night and Bridgestreet claimed my reservation didn't exit and left me in the middle of the street with two kids (4 and 10) and a pregnant wife when it was already passed midnight. The following day Bridgestreet could find my reservation and assigned me a new apartment (but it was already 4pm). When I arrived there... More

Even if you ignored the fact the apartment was not in the location we had booked (Les Halles, not Marais), and that it involved an expensive and inconvenient trip to the other side of Paris to pick up the keys (sorry, that should read 'key' - for two couples), I cannot imagine a worse experience. The contrast between the photo... More

Stay here if: 1) You don't mind spending an hour's detour traipsing across Paris in a cab to pick up a single key to share between two couples. 2) You want the entrance to your holiday apartment to be a grill-protected doorway between two sex shops in one of the dodgiest streets in Les Halles (Rue St. Denis) 3) You... Booked Bridgestreet Marais through Booking.com, there was a list of possible apartments on the confirmation all of which were in the area we wanted. There was no confirmed address on the confirmation, key collection was from 10 avenue Franklin Roosevelt 75008 Paris in a different area which added time to checking in. The address on collecting the keys was not... More

This is my first Trip Advisor review ever and unfortunately sharing our bad experience with you. Booked through our travel agent we did all our checks, online reviews and compared with other apartments yet still fell into an experience that was totally unexpected. Day 1 of our 8 week family European holiday we caught a taxi from Paris airport and... More

This place obviously loves the "bait and switch" We booked to stay at the following apartment 4, Rue Etienne Marcel Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, 08 as this location best suited our itinerary. Upon arriving late at night we found keys for a completely different location kilometers away. I emailed the following morning with no response , only after getting a local... More

dear Guest many thanks for your review. It will help us improve our service. I don't understand where your initial booking was as you are giving us 2 different locations. Champs Elysées with the address of our office and Rue Etienne Marcel which was the main address in the Marais. But Bridgestreet Paris offers several locations (Champs Elysées, Marais, Opera,... We stayed here in the first week of July and had various problems, including a bed that collapsed and was not repaired until 72 hours later. I went to the office to discuss, but the person at the desk (after checking with the back office) told me to write an email with my complaint. I have travelled widely and have... More

The logistics of getting to this place is awkward, particularly with kids in tow, and luggage. In fact, quite unmanageable with a number of large suitcases. This was what we had to do: Eurostar arrived at Gare du Nord. We placed a telephone call to the BridgeStreet office. They gave us directions to their office near the Champs Elysses. Two... More

We were staying in the apartment for 3 days. It is really more pleasant than staying in the hotel as you are like at home. Very comfortable for a long stay with a family. The rooms were big enough, we had our own kitchen with probably everything you may need(dishes, kettle etc), that was really helpful if you prefer to... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
