Take the idea you have of having a super pleasant stay while in Paris add some spices, yes not the trendiest suburb still an interesting value for price, get some hipsters phisionomy , a lot of smiling funny happy faces and enter the world of mama shelter , this place is simply to lay back, after a long day spent... i think this is a great value hotel. Prices almost can't be beaten in Paris and the rooms and general hotel areas are all amazing. Although the location is a bit of a pain, the actual area is really nice and people use the hotel bar and restaurant as a place to go for a night out so you never... More

Spending my third weekend in four years in Paris at Mama Shelter, requires a follow-up to my first review of this hotel from 2011. When visiting a hotel three times in a row you might wonder whether it can still live up to your first experience and Mama Shelter certainly can. In my opinion it is still the place to... More

Visited here with my boyfriend in Dec 2013. This was a quirky hotel with trendy guests. The reception was very welcoming. We were on one of the top floors which required taking two lifts as one lift did not go all the way up to the top of the building, this after a long day site seeing was a thought.... More

Excellent hotel in a great location. Excellent bars and restaurants nearby. Have stayed in Paris many times before but always centrally - but never again. Staying out in the 20th was far better. 10 minute walk to metro (choice of 4) so didn't take long to get into centre. We had a basic room - good enough for what we... More

Really special place, pretty cheap, modern and really special with regard to deco. Pizzas til late (sadly no salads) - not very central but not far off - highly recommend, would go again. Also, nice selection of free movies - all sorts of movies ... Very friendly staff - very nice vibe, young and busy every days

Stayed Thursday to Monday at this very trendy hotel and loved it. Having seen the main central tourist sights previously, my wife and I decided to stay out of the centre. We not only saved some money on the hotel but spent a lot more time with French people. We'd really recommend it and it only takes 20 mins by... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had an amazing time. It is located about 1/2 mile from the Metro #2 or #3(in the opposite direction) in Paris so if you are okay with a nice walk for the metro you won't even notice it. The neighborhood is relatively quiet but there are numerous grocery... More

What a cool hotel this is indeed! Very funky + trendy, which can be seen from the restaurant, to the rooms as well as the staff. Celebrated my b'day in style with a package that included a bottle of champagne in the room and a little b'day message on the mirror. Very modern amenities, where we could take "selfies" on... More

Not too expensive though a bit far from the heart of the city but it's a good opportunity to discover the famous Père Lachaise cemetery. Nice decoration (thank you again Starck ;-). Nice personnel. Small but clean and comfortable rooms.
