We loved our time at Mama Shelter. There is always a good vibe downstairs in the bar and pizzeria, and although the rooms are small, they have everything you need and we booked ours for under 90 Euro. Plus, you shouldn't spend any of your time in Paris sitting in a hotel...

I had no idea what to expect but knew the place had gotten a good review in the Guardian and the NY Times. I wanted to stay away from the center of Paris and I was excited to be in a hotel designed by Philippe Starck. I loved the room, the bedding, the towels, the amazing staff, the artsy-ness of... More

I wasn't meant to stay here but because teenagers under the age of 18 cannot stay in a hotel without an adult, I had to drive down. The front desk was extremely helpful and very friendly to the two 16 year old girls who found out that they couldn't stay without an adult. They quickly booked me an extra room... More

A lovely stay in Paris, near Pere Lachaise and not so fa away from the Metro. The room was a bit dark (eye make-up impossible, luckily I always carry a small mirror in my handbag) but really interesting, with the bedside table lamps made with a Darth Vader mask (my side) and a Batman one (my partner's side) and a... The hotel may have been a little far out but the hotel, restaurant and staff are exceptional and definitely worth the short taxi journey. Two people had recommended it to me from London and I will be recommending Mama Shelter to as many people as I can! Alessia was particularly friendly and helpful (but all staff were great).

I emailed the following to the manager, but they did not bother to respond. So good luck if you have issues with the hotel! "Good Morning Cecile I recently stayed at Mama Shelter from the 23rd to the 26th of August. We chose Mama Shelter Paris after a fantastic stay at the Bordeaux Shelter and my Wife having stayed with... More

This was my second visit to this hotel. Two years ago it was pretty much brand new and I gave it a five star review. During my revisit I again enjoyed breakfast (although it's on the expensive side) and the service, facilities and cleaniness were good. I did think however that my room could use a bit of a renovation:... More

My wife and I wanted a romantic break in a hotel that was different and in Mama Shelter we found exactly what we were looking for. Set back from the road and next to a disused railway line, Mama Shelter hides her character behind an almost nondescript facade. Entering the hotel perceptions are immediately changed. The reception area has display... More

I stayed for a weekend at Mama Shelter for a friend's birthday. Mama Shelter can be described as "quirky" ... which translates, at least in this case, to very small, dark rooms with even smaller bathrooms designed to look industrial (e.g., as though they are built of concrete). On the positive side -- the staff is friendly and speaks excellent... More

Mama Shelter is such a charming and quirky hotel. I wouldn't say that it has the best location, but it was enough for me to get to Père Lachaise Cemetery and the Café Aribus by walking distance. The staff at Mama Shelter were approachable and friendly. Generally, there were no airs about any of the staff. The hotel has a... More
