Nice hotel but two big problems. Even though I booked via a large hotel booking site, I was told very brusquely when I arrived that I had to get an extra room for my child! Incredible - another 200 euros I wasn't expecting. And the wi-fi is flaky - not very useful for me when using my work laptop. I... More

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and we found it to be excellent in terms of location - bars and restaurants are a very short distance away as well as the metro. The hotel itself is going through some upgrading and the room we had looked as if it had just had its upgrade. The room was a... More

Hi. My husband and I stayed at the Hotel de Notre Dame last weekend. We have stayed there many times before, I first discovered this hotel over 16 years ago. The reception area and very helpful receptionists haven't changed and that's reassuming. The hotel refurbed its rooms earlier in the year and the decor/new bathrooms are a big improvement. The... We found this hotel to be perfect for the price! The staff was very friendly and helpful. No A/C could be a problem - we were just lucky the weather was not too hot. The hotel is on a little, narrow, quaint side street. We had a view of the steeple of Notre Dame and awoke to the bells. The... More

Recently spent four nights here with my wife for a special birthday long weekend in Paris from NYC. We are in our 50s (fyi since age is an important factor in how one sees things sometimes). Over the years we have stayed in MANY small hotels in the 5th arr. This hotel is by far the best in our experience... More

We loved our experience at this hotel. The location was perfect. Close enough for our group to head back to the hotel if they needed a break and we used it as a meeting point. The rooms and bathrooms are standard for Europe. The bathroom was very clean as were the sheets/comforter/pillows. The photos do not do the place justice.... More

I found this great little place online. They were offering a deal if you booked 5 nights or more. Since I was in Paris for a week, and the location was perfect, I booked it. For only 100 Euro per night it is a great deal. We could walk almost everywhere from its central location and it is close to... More

Located in a quiet street a stone's throw from the Seine, on the Left Bank opposite Notre Dame, this hotel is great for an affordable break with no frills. It's clean, the staff are helpful and speak good English, but the rooms are relatively small - typical of so many hotels in Paris. You won't find air conditioning or masses... More

The foyer is welcoming and tastefully decorated. Although on the small side, our room was quiet, very clean, with wallpaper and curtains nicely coordinated. The bathroom was fine. The location is excellent, in a low key winding street between the boulevard St Germain and the Seine. The hotel is close to everything the left bank stands for and would suit... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
