My daughter and I recently spent 4 nites at this hotel very close to the cathedral, thus it's name! The rooms are small which is o.k. and the lighting is minimal and you also need to know that some rooms do not have the privacy of a separate shower or bath. I didn't realize this when I booked the room but... More

Delightful little hotel in the heart of the Latin Quarter, across the Seine from Notre Dame Cathedral. Rooms and baths are small by American standards, but nicely appointed and the location is perfect. It's Paris! You're not going to stay in your room anyway. Breakfast is 11 euro per person; a good deal after we browsed the neighborhood. Nothing fancy.... More

The hotel is located in the very heart of Paris, yet the street is very quiet. Our rom was very clean, though tiny but it is typical of Paris. The personnel was great. The young woman on the reception was somewhat unfriendly, but everyone else was superb, especially Dmitry who is absolutely the best!!! The wi-fi signal was very weak... More

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend 5-8/12/14. It was very easy getting to the hotel from Gare du Nord on the Metro, and the hotel is in a wonderful location with Notre Dame at the end of its road. The hotel is beautifully styled and the staff were pleasant. Our room no 32 was unfortunately very small,... More

We stayed at this hotel from 19-22/11/14. We were VERY pleased with the location and its proximity to the Maubert Mutualite metro stop. Also at the local square, there's one of the best cheese shops (fromagerie) in Paris (that vacuum-pack your cheese so you can take it back home easily!). The room was nicely decorated but we felt there was... More

Great location (right on the doorstep of the metro and RER as well as Sainte Chapelle, Notre Dame and the Catacombs) Fantastic & very friendly staff (perfect English!) The room is quite small (which is nothing out of the ordinary in Paris), however is decorated nicely (modern) and even comes with a disco bath (spa bubbles and lights if you... More

Very nice hotel in a lovely central location very close to some really nice hubs in Paris and some great restaurants and bars. The front reception staff are nice, the breakfast is ok but No thrills. Just croissants and bread and not a lot else. The rooms are small and fairly modern with large tv and either a bath or... More

We paid quite a bit for the room due to high season. The room we stayed in was bigger than I expected after reading the reviews online, although the lighting was quite poor within the room. The AC was good to have as it was quite hot during the days we were in Paris. It was quiet at night so... More

Most important is hotel location. Close to Maubert - Mutualité metro / M 10 / on St Germain. On the opposite site only 100metres to get to the river and visit Notre Dame. Located in the center of quiet street. And only a few steps to enjoy all Latin area attractions. Internet connection is poor. Althoug WiFi works ok, internet... More

We've never stayed here, but it's a "must-check-it-out". One night while strolling the Latin Quarter, we stumbled on this hotel tucked into a corner of a small lane that is QUIET and also is a stone's throw from Place St. Michel at 19, rue Maitgre-Albert. You can NOT beat the location for Left Bank. The lobby/public space in the hotel... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
