We spent four nights here around Christmas time. So glad that we chose this B&B. The room was lovely. And the hosts were very helpful. To top it off the location is amazing. With the metro right round the corner going to central Paris is a breeze. Thank you Ilhame for the wonderful stay

My husband and I spent the first 5 nights of our honey moon at Au sourire de Montmarte, and it was lovely. Although probably a bit small by American standards (by NYC/european standards it was likely average sized), we loved it (we stayed in Rimbaud room). It had a little kitchen, an updated bathroom, very comfortable bed and a big... More

My partner and I stayed in the Room Zen, it was so comfortable, a real home away from home as the B&B promises! We enjoyed a delicious authentic French breakfast included in our room cost each morning of our three night stay, croissants and preserves, baguettes, smoked salmon and cheeses, a great start to each day. Additionally as we stayed... More

The B and B is located near a police office and within 5 mins walk upslope from Jules joffrin metro. Though there is no 24by7 front desk reception, the owner actually stays in the B&B and the family is very responsible and helpful. Do alert them your ETA in advance. Also if you can't climb winding stairs up the rooms,... More

As a culinary/cultural travel planner, I always try to find the best for my clients. I chose this B&B based on its location to a nearby cooking school that we would be attending. From my initial email contact with owner, Ilhame, I knew I had found the right place. We were warmly welcomed for our week long visit in September... More

Au sourire de Montmartre is the ideal combination between a small boutique hotel and a B&B. Its rooms are well appointed (if, as is so often the case in Paris, a little small) and our bed was immensely comfortable. It is quiet with a terrific breakfast. Ilhame Aurenty is a welcoming hostess and happily recommends restaurants and travel idea. But... More

My wife and I spent three nights at Au Sourire de Montmartre during our recent honeymoon, and it was a completely delightful experience. Ilhame’s father greeted us and he was so accommodating, even offering to make us a cappuccino as we settled in! We stayed in the Montmartre Room and found it to be very comfortable and clean. It was... More

We just spent a lovely few days at the Sourire de Monmartre Bed and Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is in a house dating back to 1904 I believe and the entrance door, the tiled floor just inside, and the winding staircase must be from that period. Every time I go I mean to take a photo of... We visited late November 2013. This was my first visit, my partner's second. We loved our experience. If you're looking for an authentic Parisian neighbourhood with great access to the Metro, patisseries and charcuterie shops, as well as the feeling you are staying with friends, then this place is perfect. The previous reviewer had many issues but I find that... More

We had stayed in Montmartre many times before but fancied a change of hotel. We went for this one following a recommendation in Lonely Planet - big mistake! The hotel (or to be precise the B&B) send you detailed instuctions of how to find them - just as well as it is behind other buildings which have street frontage. We... More

Your review is extremelly disapointing to us! As you rightly reported, we are not a hotel and have no "staffed reception" although my familly is helping me when I can't be home. You selected to come to a Bed & Breakfast as you "fancied a change of hotel"...Thanks for your note about the breakfast and how useful we were with... More
