I spent one week Au Sourire de Montmartre with my daughter and we loved our room "The Marrakesh". Room was cleaned and tidied up with accuracy every day, breakfast superb (loved the homemade jams and freshly baked baguettes). WiFI working perfect and there was also a computer available in the room, though I had my laptop. I have also appreciated... More

We travelled here as a family with two children and wanted to stay in Montmartre. The location is excellent, the booking was easy and I was greeted very friendly already when booking! The B&B feels genuine and the room was clean and very nice. The breakfast was perfect! I definitely recommend this B&B to anyone who's not looking for a... More

We stayed here for 6 nights on recommendation from friends and we were not dissappointed. We did not meet Ilhame but her friends were more than helpful and informative, especially Fancy! The rooms were great, and had everything that was needed. The location was near metro, cafes, shops, laundromat and steps, steps, steps! Loved it!

Yes, many have highlighted the small rooms. This is very typical of just about all places in Paris. If you want to stay in a clean, safe place in a great part of town, you can't go wrong here. Ilhame and Sammy are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. The metro is a 2... More

We spent two nights in Paris at this charming little location. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, it's located in the middle of Montmartre with the Jules Joffrin metro station less than a block away so access to any of Paris is readily available, and the price was more than reasonable. The breakfast was wonderful and Ilhame was the... More

Alright, I read all the swooning reviews about this place, so I did have high expectations. The Good: Decent location, although not close to anything except Sacre Coure (which is fine). Laundry mat is just around the corner of the block-literally. Great continental breakfast served by a nice older french Gentleman in the morning. Close to Jules Joffrin metro station.... More

This was our second stay at Ilhames wonderful home. It's a great location. Close to Sacre Couer and all the warmth and bustle of Montmatre. Ilhame was as usual an amazing host. Loved our rooms. My husband and I spent 5 nights in this romantic place in Montmartre. We loved everything. Ilhame is a lovely person, she gave us lots of good advice to enjoy Paris. They also have a very French breakfast with "baguette, jus de fruit, thé, café, fromage, etc and a delicious homemade jam. we slept in the Toulousse-Lotrec bedroom and we... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
