We stayed at Jean Luc's bed and breakfast in the Marais for three nights in early November 2014. Jean Luc was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The room was comfortable, nicely furnished and quiet. The Marais is a great place to stay in Paris, with lots of things to do there, including visiting the newly re-opened Picasso Museum. And we ate... More

My friend Donna and I stayed at the Bonne Nuit for 9 nights. Jean Luc was the perfect host he even helped us out with a Metro issue. I enjoyed our breakfast conversations and the croissants were the best I have ever had. Jean Luc made a special trip to the bakery on our last day so we could have... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this delightful b&b. The location is perfect, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and a delightful walking tour of the Marais. We walked daily to the Seine and Notre Dame, a short enjoyable walk. Jean Luc, our host, made us feel at home in our ground floor suite, which was comfortable for the... More

First the bouquet - ocation is great. Jean-Luc our host was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and direction and the location is superb Now for the brickbat - ousr room was on the groundfloor and did not have a window! Given this it was dark and damp. To make matters worse, water from the bathroom came into the bedroom. The... More

I loved my stay at Bonne Nuit Paris B&B. The building had character and was built in 1600 but the bathroom was quite modern and in my room! I felt safe walking from the B and B. There were great cafés and restaurants near. It was close to the metro. The jam at breakfast was home made and delicious.

We just spent several days at Bonne Nuit and had a very enjoyable stay. This type of place is exactly why I generally choose B&B's over hotels in foreign countries - you get a feel of the country you're visiting, rather than a hotel that could be in any big city. The neighborhood appeared to be primary populated by Parisians,... More

My first trip to Paris with friends and we stayed in this lovely B&B in the Marais district. Jean-Luc, our host, was wonderful. He gave us so many great suggestions for places to visit and restaurants close by (even including handwritten maps, since our sense of direction was a bit off at the beginning of our trip)! We enjoyed the... More

Staying at Bonne Nuit was such a great decision. I traveled with my grown daughter and wanted something a little different rather than a cold hotel. Jean-Luc our host made everything so simple from booking to checking inn after a long flight. He even came up with some great suggestions for a special dinner prior to us arriving in Paris... More

A beautiful old building with lots of antiques, a friendly and knowledgeable host, a quiet street but in the centre of the Marais district within walking distance of museums. If you want a slick and bland chain hotel then don't stay here, but if you like something unusual, fresh bread and home made jams and honey for breakfast and intelligent... More

I stayed here in October 2013 and I can't believe how lucky I was. The house is so interesting and full of beautiful things. Jean-Luc is a sweetheart, so justifiably proud of the 30 years of work he & his wife have put into the place. If I remember correctly despite the jet lag, he said the original building dates... Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighorhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
