We stayed here for just one night before a conference (a birthday treat for me!) and it was really lovely. We had booked the Jardin du Marais room, but when we got there both upstairs rooms were open, so we actually got to stay in the Enclos des Templiers—a romantic, atmospheric suite with exposed wooden beams and a little canopy... We stayed at Bonne Nuit Paris for four nights in the first week of June 2015 and we had a great time. We chose the double room on the ground floor called La Cave du Grand Prieur and it was perfect for us. The room was located to the rear of the house which you enter through a small courtyard.... We are experienced travellers and this was comparatively a poor choice. We were told that the place was safe and there was parking available. Upon arrival we found out that was not the case. The rooms were poorly managed, there were moisture and mildew spots on walls and ceilings, plaster was peeling off. The house has not had a lick... More

this lovely place is in the very heart of Le Marais district of Paris, a charming and much sought-after setting, within walking distance - safe at all times of the day or night - of the most popular and well-known locations in the heart of Paris. i will return asap! very clean and relaxing

We stayed at Jean Luc's bed and breakfast in the Marais for three nights in early November 2014. Jean Luc was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The room was comfortable, nicely furnished and quiet. The Marais is a great place to stay in Paris, with lots of things to do there, including visiting the newly re-opened Picasso Museum. And we ate... More

My friend Donna and I stayed at the Bonne Nuit for 9 nights. Jean Luc was the perfect host he even helped us out with a Metro issue. I enjoyed our breakfast conversations and the croissants were the best I have ever had. Jean Luc made a special trip to the bakery on our last day so we could have... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this delightful b&b. The location is perfect, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and a delightful walking tour of the Marais. We walked daily to the Seine and Notre Dame, a short enjoyable walk. Jean Luc, our host, made us feel at home in our ground floor suite, which was comfortable for the... More

First the bouquet - ocation is great. Jean-Luc our host was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and direction and the location is superb Now for the brickbat - ousr room was on the groundfloor and did not have a window! Given this it was dark and damp. To make matters worse, water from the bathroom came into the bedroom. The... More

I loved my stay at Bonne Nuit Paris B&B. The building had character and was built in 1600 but the bathroom was quite modern and in my room! I felt safe walking from the B and B. There were great cafés and restaurants near. It was close to the metro. The jam at breakfast was home made and delicious.

We just spent several days at Bonne Nuit and had a very enjoyable stay. This type of place is exactly why I generally choose B&B's over hotels in foreign countries - you get a feel of the country you're visiting, rather than a hotel that could be in any big city. The neighborhood appeared to be primary populated by Parisians,... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
