We were looking for a small place to stay in Paris close to Le Bataclan (Foster the People concert) and we found the B&B of Jean-Luc. It was an excellent experience. It is a great old building with nice details in the middle of the Marais. Close to the Metropolitan lines, shops, deli's and a great old market were you... More

My wife and I were going to be staying in Paris for 3 days at the front end of a week-long France trip. We wanted to stay close enough to the center of Paris to walk and Bonne Nuit was a perfect location. Easily walkable to the major attractions and with many restaurants close by. We stayed in the ground... More

The location is terrific. There are 4 Metro stations anywhere from a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Not so close if you are lugging your bags, but close enough if you are out for the day with just your camera. This gives you access to many lines of the Metro and cuts down on transfers once you are on... More

We stayed with Denise and Jean-Luc for four nights and found it to be the most perfect base from which to explore Paris. Le Marais, is a beautiful area, slightly off the main tourist trail and its small streets filled with interesting bars, galleries, cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. The oldest food market in Paris, a stone's throw from chez... More

The Marais is beautiful and rich with history, the people are warm and welcoming and Jean-Luc Marchand's Hotel Bonne Nuit is a perfect fit for being steeped in the history of this place. Like the rest of the Marais, Hotel Bonne Nuit is an ancient building, a bit quirky and mysterious in itself, and the rooms, like the Marais, a... More

As this is my first time in Paris i found the place charming and had a great location. Jean-Luc was very friendly and the other people in the hotel as well. The rooms were very well kept and the breakfast food was amazing. I also enjoyed Adeline's (Jean-Luc's daughter) historical tour as it showed how Paris developed over time and... More

Pros: We loved the location in Le Marais, and really enjoyed wandering the streets, and visiting the local restaurants, bars and shops. The building is quirky, old and pretty--I loved the uneven stone floor and weathered wooden steps. Jean-Luc is a delightful host, so friendly and helpful. We loved his breakfasts and homemade jams. Cons: The rooms were pretty enough,... More

After having read the glowing reviews I chose to stay here and was quite disappointed. Although Jean Luc is pleasant enough, the place itself isn't well maintained. Stayed six days and no one ever came in to clean or change sheets but worst part was we were given one towel each that was hard as a rock and never replaced... More

Jean-Luc runs this gorgeous place with humour, good taste and some excellent tips for bakeries and restaurants. It's in a lovely, safe area packed with weird and the wonderful shopping and a great atmosphere. Breakfasts are informal and chatty and the room was clean, quirky and interesting. Avoid booking the street-facing ground floor room La Cave du Grand Prieur. It's... More

Thank you so much for your compliments: it was a pleasure having you as our guests. La Cave du Grand Prieur is our smallest but also quietest room. L'Echoppe du Grand Prieur is on the street side, therefore with street noise, like in the famous song: some guests like it, other like it less. As a hint, we have been... More

My wife & I have just returned from a lovely stay chez Jean-Luc. We had a great time & learnt loads about the area from Jean-Luc, the wonderfully warm host who was happy to give out little tips to make our stay excellent. The breakfast was also lovely! Great place to stay in a great part of Paris.
