I've spent 2 nights in this hotel. You like it if you just not to consider it as a hotel! There are much better quality hotels with the same rate are available in this town. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

We were four (2 children) and stayed in a family room. Room and bathroom were large, but lacked basic amenities. The matress was awaful. I got a terrible pain in my back. Labyrinth of corridors with stairs. Location is great, room windows facing Château de Fontainebleau. Maybe a good hotel to stay one night, but not more. Overpriced.

On arrival one might be disappointed with the appearance of this old hotel building with a main door needing attention, a rather worn out awning and a lack of general décor inside. However, I was well pleased with my top of the range room to include a full bathroom and separate WC, TV and fan. There were pleasant views across... More

Warm and welcoming owners. Perfectly situated with a very comfortable room on the second floor. Be aware there is no lift and the stairs are quite steep so ask for a low floor if need be. Free WiFi and a fan provided to keep the room cool in hot weather. Situated on a busy road so could be noisy at... More

We enjoyed staying in this lovely hotel for two nights. My husband had stayed there before a few years ago and so we went back to stay there. The hotel staff were both very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure they could answer our questions, asking someone who spoke better English if they couldn’t... More

A smallish boutique hotel in the main street of Fontainebleau.. absolutely amazing, friendly staff who could not do enough for us. The location meant we had to park about 120 metres down the lane.. note one way the wrong way, at a cost of 24 Euros for 2 nights. No elevator meant we had to manhandle our suitcases up the... More

This was the first hotel we stayed in on a cycling trip from Paris to Avignon. The welcome was fantastic, the hotelier and his charming wife went out of their way to assist. The rooms are very comfortable and the evening meal delicious. Excellent value for money, and probably the friendliest of all the hotels we stayed at.

We stayed here one night as we finished our trip around the north of France. The hotel was a little difficult to find, but not that bad. The hotel rooms were large enough and the facilities were very good. This is not the most expensive in town, but not the cheapest either. The couple who run it were marvellous. It... More

I'm giving 4 stars to the experience, not necessarily the hotel. The owners could not have been more gracious, and the restaurant they run downstairs (Bacchus) is quaint, wine-focused and full of locals. This is a hotel of character, the kind where (like I did) you go up stairs, around corners, down stairs, then up stairs to get to your... More
