If you are going to stay in Fountainebleu, you may as well stay here, in a room (like ours, no. 11) that looks over the Chateau. The room was light and airy, and the view was great, both in good weather, and also in the most amazing downpour we’ve ever seen. (See photos.) Room 11 cost a bit more than... more

I always ask to see a room before staying in any property, not only to check the quality of the room (I wouldn't usually spend a couple of hundred euros before seeing the product, I don't see why a hotel should be any different), but also to get a better idea of the staff and ambiance of the place. I... more

I had the occasion to stay here during a recent business trip and was most pleasantly surprised by the experience. The hotel is lovely, rooms finely appointed and very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, location excellent and views wonderful. Having mixed experiences with some hotels in the past I set my expectations rather low. Upon arrival any concerns were washed... more

This is a hotel with a lot of character. We had room 5 on the first floor, a very good size with 2 large windows overlooking the Palace. The room is elegantly decorated in blue and white, there is a desk in one of the windows, a large and very comfortable bed and a sitting area with sofa and armchairs,... more

We drove in without a reservation, but no problem getting a room. Very helpful gentleman at reception, spoke english, we had room #3. It smelled freshly renovated, maybe a touch of paint recently? It was on lower level in courtyard, so no street noise. Large, very comfortable bed, much appreciated after some of our other small French bed experiences. Large... more

We were just a little concerned about staying here after reading some of the reviews but after staying there would like to know what hotel they stayed at. From the minute we arrived we found the staff welcoming, helpful and charming. We booked room #11 by looking at the hotel website and thought it looked great. When we got to... more

We stayed at the Londres for a week in late June. Highs are the very convenient location, and very helpful staff. Most (not all) speak English well. Also right next door is the Fontainebleau tourist office so you can get maps, tickets etc. to tour the chateau and other sights. On the low side there is no air conditioning and... more

As promised- view of the Chateau! Room 1 - the bath/shower room is VERY SMALL - but fine for one person. comfortable room. Owners and staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They made dinner reservations for me - and gave me good information. The breakfast buffet is okay - could use more coffee and would be nice... more

If you don't have a room with a view the small problems arise. Alone in the small beds is OK, but if you need to share them your back will hurt the next morning. Some rooms (6,14) are very darkand small. more

This is hotel is in a great location directly across the street from the Fontainbleau chateau. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had a spectacular view of Fontainbleau. We just sat by the window until nightfall and looked at the view. It was large and nicely decorated, although the main attraction is the view. The hotel staff was... more
