Typical IBIS, good service, half decent Restaurant, appeared dated compared to other IBIS hotels we`ve stayed in. Room was small with no view unless you were 8 foot tall and wanted to look at the sky beautifully blue as it was. Excellent location for walk along the river into the city. Major downside was the charge for parking €10 per... More

Hotel was ok, not the best Ibis we have stayed in. Room a bit on the small size in the roof part. Had to pay for parking which we did not have to approx 10 days earlier at another Ibis in Troyes, and which we were not told about, so quite a shock at check out! Restaurant ok, no English... More

Liked the efficiency, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and proximity to lovely city. Car parking was a bit of a pain but secure anyway. Great place to explore the town. Rooms spacious and bar and food good I think

The hotel is reasonably priced and we had a special deal on our booking so it was very good value for us. It is in a part of the city that is a convenient compromise between ease of access by car from/to the motorway and being within a 12-15 minute walk of the historic centre. International hotel chain standards are... More

Nice no frills hotel. The room was clean, large, with all you'd expect from an Ibis. The bathroom, a little small, but again, had everything you needed from it. I was a little disappointed there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but that could just be my British expectation. Its location was good, just on the riverbank, within walking... More

We stayed one night - couple and one toddler. It was a small but comfortable room with one double and a clever small bed. The location was great as we were able to walk to the old city easily. I would recommend staying here. No frills, just a place to stay.

Locatiion of hotel absolutely right. Easy walk into the centre. Typical Ibis and reliable. Not the best looking but once inside it is excellent. Secure parking. The city was the real surprise. We had a wonderful time strolling around this city admiring all their was to see and ended up having to leave with more to do. We will be... More

They have begun to know us at La City. We have stayed at various hotels in various towns when travelling to and from Vence. Finally we decided that Besancon was the optimum halfway stop and always stay at this hotel if we can. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We do like the Maitre Kanter; the menu changes from summer... More
