Excellent Hotel with great views from your balcony. Very good facilities, good restaurant if not a bit expensive, nice swimming pool, and good access down to a stony beach. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the receptionist on duty but she was extremely helpful and spoke good English.

We arrived here after travelling by ferry from Marseille at the start of our Corsica trip and stayed a couple of nights. We really enjoyed it - it was just right as a place to relax and unwind before the more adventurous phase of our trip. The room was a decent size, clean and had a great seaview from the... More

The good: - The cleanliness - The daytime staff and owners - The atmosphere/style and balconies with sea view - Free parking - Access for old/disabled people - The pool The mediocre: - The location - The price (in October) - The breakfast (simply French) w/o Corsican elements or salads etc (They used to do that) - The standard of... We stayed for 2 nights in a standard double, spacious, nice balcony with sea view. Rooms we're clean but a little worn down. Service was basically non existing, nice coffee tables at the pool with fantastic view but the bar was closed at 5 in the afternoon. At breakfast the sole service person was too busy to prepare the few... More

Really disappointed with this hotel, which we came to for one night, after 6 nights in a stunning hotel elsewhere on the island. The corridors in the hotel are depressing, hospital like brown corridors, and the rooms are all on the right hand side. The view from the small balcony was lovely, but that is the only redeeming feature. The... More

We stayed 2 days in this hotel (June 5-6 2014). It was our second stop on a round the island trip by (rented) car. We choose Hotel l'Alivi, among else because of the location close to Bastia city centre, closer than we thought or had guessed from the map, also a good departure for our journey along the Route du... This place is so simple and straight forward, with the most incredible view from my terrace. After about 6 weeks of travelling around cities, to turn up here was so refreshing. The rooms are big, clean, and pretty well kitted out, with a nice bathroom.. It's all about the view from your bed, totally inspiring! This hotel definitely has it's... More

stayed her for 2 nights after arriving into Bastia airport. Amazing view from room and breakfast room. Nice pool. It is a shame that the restaurant is closed from Sunday afternoon till Monday evening, but never the less, we can recommended this hotel just north of Bastia!

Pros - The room had a great view out over the sea - watching the sun rise (if early enough) was great. Breakfast was plentiful but a balance of good and average - for example the omelettes were great, the fruit salad very average. We arrived and left by ferry so appreciated the late and early availability of reception. Cons... More

Very central, though a little out of town adjacent to the seashore and yet near the ferry terminal. Excellent and clean rooms with modern bathrooms, and balcony are exclusively facing and overlooking the sea. Staff are professional and polite and roomrates are very reasonable. The restaurant within the same premises with its garden seating is worth to attend, here as... More
