The hotel is fairly basic and up a few steps. However, the staff, location, breakfast, cleanliness and general feeling of being very welcome were great. It is in the centre of Bastia, the bus from the airport stops just around the corner. Our bus driver was a gem and dropped us a few feet away from stop at the end... More

What a lovely hotel in a lovely town! The entrance to the hotel is small and the stairs are steep to the reception and rooms. However after that initial effort, it was very much worth it! We received a lovely and warm welcome. One of the staff helped us to our room. The room was clean and nicely decorated. There... More

This is a nice little hotel. The staff were friendly and had enough English to allow us to understand each other. The breakfast was nice, too. On my second stop (before my flight off the island), the staff person offered a lot of nice suggestions for sights to see and restaurants to visit. I would return.

It suited our needs to a tie! Centre of town - friendly helpful staff We arrived at 4:30 pm on Saturday of a long weekend without a reservation. They had 2 rooms left and encouraged us to take the smaller cheaper as we would have a better sleep - very much appreciated as we would have taken the other. Very... More

Not a bad place but nothing from the usual in small port cities. Room was small and smelled a bit as closed space, we simply solved by opening the windows. Recepcionist was helpful and nice, also spoke spanish which in our case helped. The best thing I would say is the location, it is located in the port area, in... More

We stopped here overnight on the start of our self guided cycle tour of northern Corsica in late July 2014. The hotel is located just outside of the town centre, which is good - a short walk brings you to the hustle and bustle, if that's what you want. We had our evening meal elsewhere in Bastia, so no comment... More

I would not usually bother reviewing a basic hotel where I have stayed for one night. However I would recommend this hotel for the friendliness of its owner and staff. We had a comfortable room with simple furnishing located at the back. Although there was not a balcony, the French windows opened fully and it was probably quieter than the rooms... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a self guided cycling trip. The hotel in a fairly busy street, and as others have commented its above an ice cream shop. Reception is up one flight of stairs, our room was up the next flight again. The service was friendly, breakfast traditional french and included fresh fruit. Bedroom was... More

Hotel Bonaparte is very close to city shops, the shipping port and the railway station in Bastia. The rooms are beautifully furnished, lovely tiled functional bathroom and a proper desk area and very good bed, numerous drawers and wardobe It doesn't have air conditioning. My room had a fair size balcony overlooking the very busy street. I was very impressed... More

The hotel was in a perfect location - being situated in a side street pretty close to the main square and a stine's throw from the ferry port. It was above a popular local ice cream place that give it a bit of a local feel. The room had a pleasant balcony, plenty of space- a separate sitting area. We... More
