We stayed at the Caranella in September 2008 and loved it. Florence on Reception was really friendly and helpful and upgraded our room as the residence was not too busy. Ali the maintenance guy was really good, sorting out our problems very quickly and always a kind word and a smile when you met him around the property. The hotel... more

26 years ago we fell in love with Corsica .......not difficult as it's undoubtedly the loveliest island in the Med, offering unspoilt beautiful beaches warm clear water and a rugged interior ..always with the underlying aroma of dried herbs. It was Caranella Village that we made our holiday home.Over the years we have seen many changes in the village ...not... more

We like to visit places that have been created by people who love the Country and the area. This is the case of Caranella which was first built and run by Sam and Gerald with their wives Caran and Pamella, hence the title. A lovely setting next to THE GRAND HOTEL DE CALA ROSSA.Dinner at THE RANCH OPLAGE was good but no choice. Lunch option was better,wish we had tried that earlier.Staff very helpful,ESPECIALLY FLORENCE ON RECEPTION,who was very friendly AND SPOKE ENGLISH OF SORTS.Room was excellent with 6 FOOT DOUBLE BED AND WALK IN SHOWER AS WELL AS BATH WITH SHOWER.
