We stayed in Troyes on a stop over while driving through France. La Maison de Rhodes is a lovely hotel - no surprising it has a five star rating. It's a lovely old building that has been beautifully restored and maintained. The hotel is situated on a narrow cobbled street and the adjoining buildings also evoke the medieval era. Our... More

We thank you for taking time to leave your feedback. The hotel is located in the historical center of the town, close to the cathedral. "Les Compagnons du Devoir" have totally restored the buildings. We stayed here for a night on our way down to the south of France. Troyes is a charming town and Le Maison de Rhodes a delightful hotel in a historic building, conveniently located close to the city centre. Our room, in the eves was spacious and comfortable and the only noise was from the Abbey chimes. In common with... More

The astonishing city of Troyes is definitely worth visiting and the hotel is well placed for walking around the town. We had one night at the Maison de Rhodes and ate in the tiny restaurant. The room was clean, charming with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful linen and a good pile of towels. We could hear the people above us... More

Troyes was meant as a first stop over on our trip to the South of France. How we enjoyed to stay at the Maison de Rhodes!... Our room was splendid: large, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was a delight. We took it al fresco on the patio. Everything was fresh. Scrambled eggs were made specifically for us. The swimming... More

We have stayed at this hotel at least four times in the last 12 years and absolutely love it's ambience and charm. It is always a fantastic start to our continental road trips. The rooms are glorious (but please ensure you get a ground floor room if you are at all infirm, there are no lifts in this historic building)... More

I don't write reviews generally as they always seem very personal, but I feel there is no choice in writing this one. I stayed here with my wife on the last leg of a journey to Calais having travelled around Italy and France. We had a suite which was lovely but when we arrived the service was absolutely diabolical. It... More

The hotel is perfectly decorated, with massive accommodation. It has a lot of charm as does the town of Troyes. The wifi was a disappointment and only worked now and again. Besides this, it was perfect.

The rooms are beautiful. Calm and very french, quiet with sumptuous beds. The bathroom is well equipped but difficult to take a shower in, there is only a shower attachment in the bath. Our bathroom also overlooked the courtyard, so we had to keep the shutters closed. The courtyard areas are calm, green and so so peaceful. I could have... More

An oasis of charm and beauty in a pretty city. La Maison de Rhodes is a triumph of sympathetic restoration of a medieval building - all mods cons combined with a celebration of the original style.
