Stopped for 1 night en route Strasbourg. Room 47 is currently subject of complaint with Campanile via Booking.com. Problems were, in brief, ants (dead and alive), roller shutters broken, dangerous faulty lamp switch, hanging rail broken, noisy residents early morning, unsolicited 0400 hrs telephone wake up call, inadequate cover with wi-fi, very shabby worn room long overdue a refurbishment. Not... More

This is a regular stop for us as it is quick and easy to get to from the motorway. It is what you would expect from this chain - clean and quite comfortable. And the air-conditioning is useful especially as it was over 30 degrees when we arrived there. The restaurant is OK but the buffet doesn't have quite as... More

Not what we expected; the rooms where accessed from outside and our room was directly opposite the outdoor eating area of the restaurant so quite noisy. Reminded me of a low budget American Motel. That said it was a bed for the night prior to our return to the UK. The pillow was lumpy which didn't help - all hotels... More

We have stayed several times at this Campanile and found it still to be as Campaniles used to be. The host is very friendly and helpful and the food was good. We had trout fillets with almonds and they were superb. It was just like the old days of the Campaniles when we used to stay there because of the... More

Which to chose? I find the campanile the best of the industrial estate hotels. Why? Well they offer a restaurant and that's good after a long day on the road, a decent shower and comfy bed, with free wifi that even I can use!.This one is handy for a stop heading to Paris or Lyon- just off the motorway and easy parking... We stayed at this hotel enroute from UK to Switzerland. We chose it as it was about halfway and took dogs. We were able to have a triple room with a space for the dog. The rooms are very small, but adequate with a pull out bed on the floor. This was ok, but if you didn't have a well... More

I stayed at this hotel on my way down to the south of France. I chose it because of the price and location. The signposting was very poor and difficult to find. However the rooms were clean, although quite small. The restaurant had a reasonable menu and the food was average for France. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My husband had assured me his hotel would be basic, but okay. On our arrival, turning into an industrial estate, my heart sank. The room was very small and dingy, but I thought it would look better after a couple of drinks. We checked in and went for a drink on the terrace bar. If you forget where you actually... More

If all you want is a bed then it is OK. It is a typical French out of town stopover box. It is on the edge of a 'zone industriale' and if like us you go on a Saturday night you wake up to desolation. The room stank of disinfectant which helped to remove any odours left by animals that... More
