The hotel and the restaurant are very different kettles of fish here, and need to be treated quite differently, and this can be recognised that the hotel/restaurant seemed to go under about 3/4 different names. Set in the industrial heart of Reims, the hotel had lost its way somewhat, and I don't think it knew what it was trying to... more

The decor is modern with bright colours and 21st century philip stark-ish design, but the details are quite poor so don't expect that this is a top notch hotel . The worst is that they use rentokil type tissue dispenser in the bathroom which makes you feel you are in public lavatories, i don't understand why they don't do the... more

I just returned from 2 nights in this hotel on a company trip with my 7 colleagues. I was a little nervous about booking this place for a company trip because of some of the negative reviews on this site but I have to say it was excellent. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The... more

We were nervous about staying here because of the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the restaurant is very expensive, even by London standards, but there is no pressure to eat there and Reims is close, although you must have a car if you're staying here as there is nowhere decent to eat within walking distance. The room was reasonably... more

Got given a free upgrade to a bigger room on arrival maybe because we had a 14 month old baby. Stayed here for one night - excellent accommodation. Restaurant is a michelin 2 star and is lovely for a special treat, however it is very expensive as you would expect froma michelin 2 star. Would definitely return to this hotel.... more

It;s a real shame as the restaurant at this hotel is defintely a Michelin star. The food and service are superb and if you are in Reims then this is a short drive and definitely worth the visit. The hotel is a completely different story. This is not what I call luxury, and I would not recommend any one stay... more

Unfortunately this did not live up to expectations. The public areas of the hotel are nice, but for the price, we were expecting the rooms to be much nicer. They were rather old-fashioned and did not really live up to the luxury billing. Breakfast was OK, but the bar was very pricey, and after seeing the restaurant prices we decided... more

We'd booked a tour at Veuve Cliquot, so we needed a hotel, it was my birthday. We found it a busy city to book a good hotel, Eventually through Sea France we once again came across L'Assiette Champenoise, so we booked it. We later read the reviews....well !! we thought we've messed up pretty good here....but it's done..... The hotel... more

My wife and I stayed in this hotel in August 2007. We have travelled around France a lot and stayed in many hotels. The hotel was fine, clean rooms, a good swimming pool and not too expensive. But the restaurant was very disappointing and a total rip off. This ridicules the Michelin star guide and proves that it is a... more

Going to Reims is always going to be an expensive trip...for starters you either have to hire a car or train in out there...and then a taxi from the train station to the hotel. you're there for the champagne houses and they're expensive to get into and to taste at...so if you decide to not be affected by cost and... more
